Kenny Dykstra, Elijah Burke, Lena Yada out like yesterday’s garbage

Mother fucker.

"Mother fucker."

There have been so many releases in the last few days that I can start citing WWE.com as the official news source…

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Smackdown Superstar Kenny Dykstra and ECW‘s Elijah Burke and Lena Yada as of Nov. 10, 2008. WWE wishes them the best in all future endeavors.

*Price is Right trombone music* The least surprising of these cuts is Lena “Who Cares” Yada — as Jeremy just said to me, WWE must be on a one-Asian-diva quota or something — so let’s move on. Kenny Dykstra had potential up the wang-yang, and at 22 or 23 had plenty of time to realize that potential. Pardon me, has plenty of time. It’s not his fault they saddled him with a stupid last name, and then failed to come up with anything for an agile youngster with a modicum of charisma. Elijah Burke, on the other hand, has tons of charisma, a great look, is a good athlete, showed during his New Blood vs. ECW Originals feud that he can talk, and could have been a good midcard player for a long time. Seriously, just a little bit of thought would have gone a long way for both of these young men. Maybe they can both conjure something up in TNA or ROH. I see no reason why not. -Eric

Good point, maybe I shouldn’t have the Pope saying swears in his caption.
