Joe Dombrowski and Aaron Maguire introduce the show. Jason Gory is going to defend his TV Title against Michael “The Bomber” Facade. Jason Bane will be taking on Bobby Beverly. Jimmy Jacobs is starting the show against “Omega” Aaron Draven. Pedro De Lucca introduced Jacobs as the “Zombie Princess”. Jacobs pounded away on Draven. Aaron took over Jacobs with head scissors but he came back with a clothesline. Jacobs gave Draven a running shoulder block in the corner. Jacobs put Draven in the Tree of Woe and kicked away at him. Jacobs gave Draven a neck breaker. Jacobs tossed Draven outside the ring and gave him an elbow off the ring apron. Jacobs tossed Draven into the guard rail. Jacobs pulled a spike out of his boot and used it while shielding the referee. Draven DDTed Jacobs on the ring apron thru the ropes. Draven clothes lined him. Jacobs kicked out after an enziguri. Draven missed a 450 splash. Jacobs speared him then gave him a double arm DDT for the win.

Analysis: The announcers did a good job of putting over Draven since he’d been on a winning streak for just over a year. The match was good. Both of these guys can go and they delivered. I think they could put on a better match but they needed to prove Jacobs to the Prime crowd. I wouldn’t argue if they had a feud at some point. Score: +1.

Vic Travglainte was with Bryan Castle. Vic asked him where Brain Bender has been. Castle has no answer to that question. Castle said that he needed to find a hero, it is Dan Arkham. Castle said that he was impressed with Arkham’s knowledge of Batman. Castle thinks that he’s Batman. Vic tried to talk him out of it. Castle left singing the old Batman theme as Vic shook his head. Analysis: Funny segment. Castle sold his belief in Arkham despite the craziness of claim. Vic was a good foil. Score: +1.

Kirst was sitting in front of a white picket fence because it’s the symbol of the American Dream. He told Gregory Iron he never saw it because his mom would have sold it for crack. Kirst said he found his family. Kirst told Iron he needed to accept himself for who he is. Analysis: Good stuff. Plastic white picket fences suck though. Wood ones aren’t much better. Score: +1.

Bobby Beverly was taking on Jason Bane as punishment from Jimmy Jacobs since Beverly didn’t deliver Matt Cross to Jacobs. Bane used his power to his advantage. Bane suplexed Beverly who rolled to the outside. Bane slammed Beverly but he pinned him weakly. Beverly gave Bane an enziguri. Beverly gave him three clothes lines. Beverly missed with a running boot. Bane ran at him but Bane got low bridged to the outside. Beverly gave Bane a senton from the apron. Bane picked up Beverly and slammed him into a corner. He gave Beverly several shoulder blocks. Bane belly to belly overhead suplexed Beverly. Bane gave him a spine buster. Beverly elbowed out of an F5. He tossed Bane chest first into the turn buckles. Beverly locked in a sleeper. Bane backed Beverly into a corner. Beverly took out Bane’s knee. Beverly chopped Bane. Bane caught Beverly trying to hop over him. Bane finished him with an F5. Bane gave Beverly a stare of respect.

Analysis: I really thought Beverly could have gotten in more offense to get to the level of respect the announcers wee talking up. It was no squash match but Bane control the majority of it. Well wrestled though. Score: +1.

They showed a replay of last week when Marion Fontaine hit Justin LaBar with a chair. Vic Travagliante explained the situation. He wondered whether Fontaine did it on purpose or not. The office of Prime Management is reviewing the incident. Vic threw it to an earlier statement by Marion Fontaine. He thinks he had things moving in the right direction with LaBar being demoted and Aaron Maguire being promoted. Fontaine said that LaBar baited himself so that he’d be hit with a chair. Fontaine said he had to be a man of his word and said he was sorry. Analysis: Vic felt like he was doing a columnist read rather than just being an interviewer. It was interesting and could be something if they let him editorialize about many topics. Fontaine did a good job of framing his argument but the end felt a little lacking. I expected something after the apology. Score: +1.

They showed the end of the Matt Cross versus Krimson match. Krimson said that Matt Mason is reaching out to someone who died three years ago. He told Moore he could help renew their friendship if he helped Krimson beat Cross. Krimson said when he needed the help, Mason was no where to be found. Krimson said he cost him the thing most dear to him the Prime Wrestling Championship. He said he was going to cost Moore the most important thing to him. Analysis: I like that they left open what would be dear to Matt Moore. I’m not sure I was a fan of the new smudge camera effect that they used but I was a fan of the content. Dude knows how to cut a promo. Score: +1.

Matt Cross said that next week he was set to take on Jimmy Jacobs for the Prime Wrestling Title. Cross wondered why he deserved a title shot. Cross said it took him years to climb back to the top not a couple of months. Cross was mad that he was doing it just to take Johnny Gargano’s spot. Cross said that the belt means more to him than Jacobs. Cross told him to earn the title. Anaylsis: The ending was OK. I liked the start since he did have to struggle to get the title back. Score: 0.

Jimmy Jacobs said that he has taken everything from Johnny Gargano, his mental & physical health and his city. The one last nail in the coffin is to take the title that made him a star. Jacobs said it took Cross two years to beat Gargano but it only took him one night and not even in a match. Jacobs said that next week he was going to become the Prime Wrestling Champion. Analysis: There was a lot of back ground noise and Jacobs looked annoyed by it. His eyes darted in one direction a couple of times. Solid promo though and good points were made. Score: 0.

Gory came to the ring before the commercial break. Michael “The Bomber” Facade came out and signed signs. Pedro De Lucca did formal introductions by even saying he was holding the TV Title hostage. It is being held in a black bag. Gory went outside. Facade spring boarded onto him. Facade took off the gui coming back in the ring. Gory slammed Facade. “The Bomber” connected with a heel kick. Gory kicked Facade in the temple. Gory used a reverse chin lock. Gory pulled Facade down by the hair. Gory worked on the knee. Gory hung out Facade on the middle rope. Gory dropped a big spring board leg drop. Facade rolled up Gory. He came back with a jaw breaker on Facade. Gory tossed him into a corner and monkey flipped Facade out of it. Gory bit Facade’s forehead. Facade gave him a neck breaker and a reverse DDT. Both struggled to get up. Facade ducked Gory’s attacks and kicked him in retaliation. Facade leg dropped Gory on the middle rope. Gory pushed the ref into the ropes as Facade was walking them. Facade tripped Gory on the ring apron. Gory double axe handled Facade in the stomach off an attempted spring board. Facade gave Gory a running knee to the head. Facade went for his finisher. Gory got out of it. He missed with the mist then kicked Facade in the balls.

Analysis: I like the ending. I was a bit surprised this match was on TV. I’d hope if they’re still going to run Wrestlelution that they’d finish this feud off there. The match was good up to that point but left enough action out there that they can do more with a rematch. Score: +1.

Final Score: 7/9. Final Analysis: This show went back to normal. I’m not a fan of the replays because of how limited their TV time is but they kept them in the pocket by connecting them to the promos that came after them. I like that it was back into the normal groove because it’s a good thing. Basic story telling well done. Refreshing.

Jericho threw down the flag then kicked it out of the ring. (See the link for the video. I’d much rather stare at the flag, um yeah, the flag, above) One would think even broke ass Brazilians would realize this move was to generate heat. You’d also think that a country that wasn’t run by a dictator or Communists wouldn’t arrest you for committing this act. But according to this story, the Ayatollah of Rock N’ Rolla was almost arrested but got out of it because he apologized to the fans. How dumb is this country? I wish I could have apologized to the citizens of South Carolina to get out of a speeding ticket (um yeah, a speeding ticket) when I was coming back Wrestlemania XXIV in Orlando. Jericho had this to say about the incident:

I made a bad judgment call in the course of entertaining fans in Brazil…I apologized to the people in the crowd for showing disrespect. It was a bad move. I did it with our fans’ entertainment in mind and I’ll accept the consequences for that.

I hope they don’t keep him off of TV for too long because I was looking forward to him taking on Randy Orton. It’s a good thing Orton didn’t take a dump on the flag though or else the WWE would have had a real international incident. -Kevin

Who do they keep? Who do they kick to the curb? Which were the easiest choices? Who were the most agonizing omissions? How many e’s does Justin Roberts put in Mr Cena’s first name? Oh happy days! It’s time for another audio, once again manned by Kevin and Dusty. This time they openly disregard the merits of talking about Monday Night Raw. So what do they find worthy of discussion? Well, they talk in depth about Monday Night Raw’s ratings and how they compare to other shows throughout the week. They also talk about WWE’s bizarre fascination with Twitter and fan interaction, why it exists and how significant is it really. Why is Daniel Bryan getting pushed so hard when he seemingly fits into none of the brackets WWE typically likes their pushed wrestlers to fill? And why is he being pushed over guys like Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler? Is John Cena secretly the puppet master behind the scenes? And how many early season Saturday Night Live references can Dusty slip into the show? So Alex Shelley’s time in TNA has come to an end according to Prowrestling.net via some other place. I was hoping Eric would take this one since he is more familiar with his work. All of my experiences with Shelley have come from TNA and a limited time watching him in ROH.

It never seemed like TNA utilized him correctly and the only substantial push he received was as part of the Motor City Machine Guns. Even then they pushed and then pulled them from television so often they hardly built up any sustainable momentum. Hell his only other memorable run was with Goldy Locks as her Baby Bear. Oh yeah and when he was kind of sort of teamed with Kevin Nash.

Not sure what the future holds for Shelley. The obvious choice is to head back to ROH. He would immediately be inserted prominently you would figure. He also could head over to Japan for a stint which would probably be ideal. So best of luck to Alex. -Jeremy

I think that’s why I love episodes of “The Simpsons” written by Conan O’Brien or John Swartzwelder, and why my band Hold For Swank included a track on our latest CD with “damsel in distress” music. According to Prowrestling.net, Ric Flair’s time with TNA may be coming to an end.  He has built up enough heat with the company that they may let him go. I wonder where Ric could go where if TNA let him go? Well, it may not be that easy, apparently he has been a very bad boy. Over at Gerweck.net they have more details on Ric’s exploits.

Apparently Ric has been doing the exact same things he was doing last year? Now it is a problem because, um, because he went to the WWE Hall of fame inductions and TNA got jack shit out of the deal? Ha ha bad businesswoman you got played.

I am sorry but I really think it is totally baddass and ironic that a 65 year-old man has been banned from The Hard Rock Café for essentially acting like a rock star. What happened to the world? Why couldn’t this match have started during the break? Hell, I’d take a replay of the pin fall that happened during the break. That match lasted the commercial break. A bunch of jobbers attack John Cena. Sheamus comes out to save him but bumps Johnny. Nice flip by Hawkins when he gets tossed out of the ring. Johnny didn’t give them permission. Two of the whitest guys on the planet team up against three people in a lumber jack match. Johnny laughs like they should be intimidated.

It’s the little gay man with the snake on his arm is my girlfriend’s description of Santino. Awesome. Of course he makes fun of Ricardo‘s accent. Poor Ricardo takes a Cobra so that Santino can do the freshest thing ever to Alberto Del Rio‘s gimmick. So they use this time to throw it to Mitchell Cool & Jerry Lawler. They announce what will surely be the death of me, three hour Raws. I will not be starting those on time. They can kiss my hairy ass. I’ll start at 9 to condense this garbage down. I’m still laughing at Jer’s description of it.

Randy Orton is Del Rio’s opponent. So I guess the WWE really wanted Santino on the show and had nothing else for him. I suppose I should expect these matches to go no where before they hit commercial. Orton has been getting most of the offense as Cool contradicts me. Chris Jericho comes in and gives Orton a Code Breaker. Interesting. A bit surprised that Del Rio was used as a pawn for two segments on the show. Both of these guys are down on their luck in the WWE pecking order these days too. Jericho never struck me as a real threat to CM Punk. Orton hasn’t sniffed the title on Smackdown in quite a while.

Daniel Bryan saunters out. The announcers bicker about the finish at Over The Limit. It’s pretty obvious from that angle that his shoulders were down. If you count pin falls when someone knocked out falls on an opponent, why wouldn’t Bryan be counted down? That rules seems pretty clear to me. Not sure why people questioned it. Referees count people down all the time during submissions. CM Punk stands on the ramp and states his case. Punk keeps it short and introduces Kane as Bryan’s opponent. Bryan makes an awesome face when he gets caught with a chair. Bryan takes a similar beating as Punk. He is such a smart ass on commentary. He out shines Lawler & Cool any time he’s on the head set. Even in a very limited time frame.

AJ Lee starts flirting with CM Punk. He just keeps speaking the truth to her. She sobs on his shirt. Punk digs crazy chicks. So, she’s an undercover agent for Bryan, right? Or she factors into the rematch somehow, right? We get replay of HHH vs Paul Heyman. I’m pretty sure that was just assault and not assault AND battery.

Christian is taking on Jinder Mahal for reasons unknown. Mahal is looking slimmed down these days. He must be taking less vitamins. Why is he getting this much offense? Out of nowhere, he hits the Killswitch. So is the frog splash his new finisher? Whatever.

I’m angry at the hand picked stupidity from Twitter. I hope at least one of those morons was kidding. Who is this Kelly Kelly? Is she a wrestler? That’s how new people view her. Beth Phoenix looks better with with the pants rather than the faux Spartan skirt. I’m loving the blind side on the dumb back hand spring elbow. Glam Slam for the win. Is Beth starting to rival Mark Henry in how many times she’s been rebuilt?

Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger & Lord Tensai are the opponents for Sheamus & John Cena. Only heels are the lumber jacks. At least they used good logic for that part. Some noticed on Twitter, but Cool reinforced it, it’s just Tensai now. That won’ help his gimmick. Is he getting fatter by the week? The woman is really bummed about not seeing Jericho’s light up jacket this week. They cut to commercial without throwing it there. Great production guys. I didn’t notice earlier but it looks like Jericho has a new shirt. Sheamus is taking the beating. I’m barely paying attention to this match. Overcoming the odds is par for the course in the WWE. Big Show is on the ramp. Can you telegraph a baby face win then beat down even more? The crowd did blow up for the hot tag. I loved the Cena dive to the outside. Shocking, massive chaos. That was the other option. But you know, there’s less chaos now than when HHH was in charge and he got fired for it. We end with a knock out by Big Show. At least Bryan vs Punk will take a back seat to this garbage, right? -Kevin

Oh my god this is getting worse. Besides taking their horribly mundane show, Monday Night Raw, and stretching it to an unnecessary length of three hours, Vince McMahon and company are now changing the format? Yes, WWE Monday Night Raw is going to be interactive according to WWE.com; whatever that means.

Sorry about that. According to the press release this entails the following:

Starting with the historic 1,000th episode of Raw on July 23, The WWE  Universe will have new ways to get involved in the show through WWE.com and social media by deciding matches, stipulations, Superstar development and more.

So everyone clear on just what Monday Night Raw will consist of going forward?  Does this mean the entire creative staff gets fired? If the WWE Universe is going to decide everything now then what are they there for now? Does “Superstar development” mean that the Universes input will make up their promos?  Will they be deciding feuds? What happens to Sin Cara and The Great Khali? (See cause no one gives a shit about them.)

This reeks of the porn industry introducing POV porn. They want you to think you are getting blown by some chick when in reality you are watching them suckle down on a stunt cock. Who believes that their comments on Facebook and Twitter are going to matter in the least? No rational adult is going to believe…..oh I get it. We aren’t the audience for WWE any longer.  So they are clearly depending on the children who are on Facebook and Twitter to give them ideas for who John Cena beats next.  I smell three year title reign a comin.
