It’s that time of week again; yup, it is time fro Stunt Granny Audio. Jeremy and Kevin are back this week with a rundown of Monday Night Raw with a dash of the live Smackdown event. What do the guys make of CM Punk twitter war/beef/exaggerated term with Chris Brown? How predictable was the RAW battle royal? What was the point of the Eve heel turn and subsequent embarrassment in the ring? Was Wade Barrett’s dislocated elbow caused by the Big Show or was it just a matter of bad circumstance? How did Daniel Bryan fare after his solid performance at Elimination Chamber? You will get the answers to all of these and more. All you have to do is listen. So get to it.

Not to mention he, out of the goodness of his own warm, red, beating heart, Flip-cammed a (decent??) 1:15 promo for his match. (CORRECTION: He cut a decent 57-second promo, then petered out with that “will not die” garbage.) UCW should be so lucky that he signed, agreed, and dusted off that lonely old camcorder to promote the match. Frankly, UCW should be so lucky that he was able to control his withdrawal shakes long enough to sign, that he was coherent enough to agree, and that he didn’t just taze his brother’s girlfriend on camera instead of talking about his career. “WEL-COME-BACK! So this is what we have come to? CM Punk is in a Twitter war with Chris Brown over a tweet CM Punk made about Chris Brown beating up his then girlfriend Rihanna. CM Punk shot off saying he would like to curb stomp Chris Brown. Then Chris Brown came back accusing CM Punk of doing steroids, which his PR team correctly pointed out is libel and will get his dumb ass in trouble, so he removed it. In its place gave us talk about real wrestlers and mentioned Koko B Ware, which is exactly what you should think of when thinking of real wrestlers.

SO Punk countered with this video.

Punk wants to fight Chris Brown and will choke him out. He will then give all the proceeds to a local women shelter of his choosing. Look this is nice idea but why not just give some money to a local women shelter instead of all this fantasy garbage? This will never happen. It is typical internet tough guy garbage.

Don’t get me wrong, Chris Brown deserves all of the trash sent his way. He is a scumbag. If you want details here ya go.  Not sure how he can be defined any other way. The best thing to do is ignore him instead of constantly talking about him (much like this post). He clearly isn’t the smartest guy if you follow his Twitter or any other piece of information about him. He is a carefully crafted creation and he tried to destroy that by being himself.

So yes, CM Punk has inserted himself in to a story he has no business being involved in. Chris Brown is a brazen man baby who has shown zero remorse for unmercifully beating his girlfriend. Sure he picked up trash to show his shame. I get it he paid his debt and he should be left alone but paying your debt to society and changing your tune are two totally different things. I guess when you get applauded on national television by a large crowd of delusional morons you considered yourself redeemed?

So what this boils down to is one smug, smartass (compliment) having a slap fight with a, um, singer? What does Chris Brown do anyway? I mean besides trap his girlfriend in the car and punch her repeatedly in the face?  -Jeremy

According to WWE.com, so take it for what it is worth, Wade Barrett will be out of action for 6-8 weeks with a dislocated elbow.. This is of course terrible timing as the time frame keeps him out of active duty for WrestleMania and thus a smaller payoff if any.

In case you missed the injury Barrett was outside the ring and was there to break Dolph Ziggler’s fall but Big Show decided to throw Dolph like a lawn dart. In the process Wade dislocated his elbow. You could tell it was bad as he wiggled on the ground and they muted the audio when he cursed. I figure he must have yelled “snickerdoodles my boyo”, but I could be wrong.

So this is the obligatory spot to blame Big Show and a case can be made but who cares. Wade can still make the show in a non wrestling capacity and cost Big Show the match. This also means a feud between Wade Barrett and Big Show and if Elimination Chamber was any indication that is not a good thing. -Jeremy

The Road to Wrestlemania starts today.

So I’m starting Raw late because I’m rewatching the Elimination Chamber. I’ve fastforwarded through most of John Cena versus Kane. There was more filler in this match than I thought. Booker is also playing up Cena being uber-happy. I don’t how positive a person you are (pointing a finger at myself) there comes a time when things just aren’t going well. An easy example for me would be my divorce. Was it a good thing? Hell yes. Did it still drag me down? Hell yes. Cena should have gotten down a bit more in parts of this angle, especially the ones involving Zack Ryder. Time for Raw. Let’s roll.

We get replay of said angle. Every single sad shot is show to prove that I’m an ass. Actually, they’re still wrong. Eve is talking to the Bellas. Eve used Zack Ryder to get popularity. Eve is going to use John Cena too. Um, how about not doing this on TV? Or when John Cena is right behind you. Why did you turn Eve? What the fuck? I mean, she’s inconsequential so why spend the beginning of your biggest show to her? I’m confused. Cena comes to the ring after the intro. Eve comes down and tries to apologize. I’m even more confused now. Cena tells her to wait for the Rock because they’re scandilous bitches. She’s the Rock’s proxy? What the hell is the point of your main babyface running down a ho? Who’s Wheaties did she pee in?

The newest vignette for Taker says that HHH‘s fate will be sealed tonight. Hooray. Sheamus takes on Mark Henry after the break. Mitchell Cool rehashing Henry being suspended. Jerry Lawler correctly pointing out that Henry being bribed for his vote. I just said something positive about Lawler. Nice Funkasaurus Extinct? sign. Why is Cool cheering on the flying shoulder block? Why? So it just dawned on me during their Twitter blow job, did they have that angle just so Ryder & Cena can be friends? Still a colossal mistake for an opening segment. Sheamus gets out of the World’s Strongest Slam and nails Henry with the Brogue Kick. Johnny Wooden GM & David Otunga are talking about themselves. Teddy Long stops by for some business. They’re not brands. Johnny may be taller, but Teddy rocks suits so much better. David Otunga gets a match against anyone on Smackdown.

The Rock returns next week. But he’s never going to leave the WWE again. That joke won’t get old for me. Sorry if you’re groaning. R Truth & Kofi Kingston are back on the tag circuit against Rosa Mendes with Epico & Primo. Kofi is on a roll when Rosa distracts him. Kofi counters out of the Back Stabber and nails Trouble in Paradise. Undercard filler.

Not quite caught up. But DAMN! what a great inductee. Ron Simmons was one of my favorites starting back with Butch Reed & Teddy Long. Oh, my buddy Ken & I dressed as the KPA at one of my bro’s parties. Keg Protection Agency. We get more replay of Elimination Chamber. Chris Jericho is with Josh Matthews. He was knocked out. He was legally eliminated. Jericho trying to get heat but people cheer. Jericho vows to win the battle royal. Of course you will.

David Otunga gets to take on Ezekiel Jackson. We get to find out how far in the dog house Jackson is. Otunga gives Zeke a Simmons like spinebuster. Cool gets to have camera time to cheer on Johnny. This replay involves last week’s Raw. Nice break from the EC. It’s about HHH & Shawn Michaels. Taker is next.

I grab a beer while Taker comes to the ring. I also started my potato and cauliflower mash. Taker wants to end the uncertainty. He was surprised by the no. I hear apocalypse and HHH not having a choice. Sure. Par for the course. If HHH is reformed, shouldn’t he have new music? HHH tells Taker to carry the torch for the next generation. He doesn’t want to kill Taker. HHH tells Taker he knows he’s at the end of his rope. Taker pulls out the coward card. Not quite a punk card. HHH gets angry then restrains himself. HHH still says no and leaves the ring. Cool camera shot with Taker and HHH being shown on the video screen. Taker plunks down the punk card by saying HHH can’t do it as good as Shawn Michaels. HHH knows he can finish it. The crowd chants “Prove It”. I so wanted HHH to turn him down. The crowd pops huge for the announcement. HHH will face him but only in the Hell In A Cell. I can’t believe that won’t be the main event. Taker doesn’t take the hood off. Save the surprise for later.

Daniel Bryan gets to come out and brag for a bit. Then he gets to job Santino in no time flat. John Cena gets more air time to talk about the Rock. OK, why exactly did you do that opening segment again?

Say weren’t you just on the cover of Maxim Kelly Kelly is tagging with Aksana against the Bellas. Twin magic before I browse the top Tweets after Cool mentions it. Why did they need twin magic?

John Cena has a real beef with Dwayne Johnson because he is all Hollywood. Cena got booed for bringing up truths. Cena is proud for not having left. Vince is going to fine Cena for saying Rock wanted to hype Fast 5 and launch his Twitter account. Don’t get too backstage John! Cena is going to need to die for him to lose to the Rock. I liked the promo even if it’s the same theme. No matter how many times he gets booed for pointing out the obvious, he’s right. Still.

They pimp Live Super Smackdown (Hey why didn’t that happen in Cbus?) before introducing CM Punk who will be commentating the Battle Royal. I love the old school jacket. Punk goofs on Cool for getting camel hair trending. Cool tries to goof on Punk’s taste while complimenting the Light Bright jacket. Punk is clowning Cool. Everyone teams up on the Great Khali to eliminate him first. Then they go to commercial.

Nothing happening during the break. Punk does a better job reintroducing the show than any announcer could. The Miz gets eliminated next. Big Show chokes slams Kofi & R Truth which sets off a wave of finishers. Santino eliminates Barrett then Truth. Dolph Ziggler takes a header onto the announce table by way of Big Show. I don’t think Scott Armstrong is pretending with the X. That looked terrible. Kofi is a big idiot and jumps to the top rope and gets pushed out. The final four is Santino, Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho & Big Show. The three small guys attack Big Show. It appears as if Wade is getting most of the real help. Yikes, Lawler is probably right about his arm being broken. Rhodes eliminates Santino. Rhodes & Jericho are dumber than Kofi trying to suplex Big Show. He tosses Cody Rhodes. Jericho holds on to Show’s head. Cody Rhodes helps Jericho win. Rhodes & Big Show in some fashion is surely a go. Wade Barrett may be out no matter what his plans were. Punk offers his hand, Jericho turns him down. Nice. -Kevin

Yeah that’s right it is time for a WWE PPV review. Are you excited? Well you should be as there hasn’t been one of thee in a log while. Jeremy and Kevin painstakingly go over WWE’s Elimination Chamber and it is a doozy. Who liked the show? What impressed them the most and what left them scratching their heads? Who had the performance of the night and does it even matter? How good is Santino in convincing people he may actually win? Why was Khali even on the PPV? Where the hell was Zack Ryder? How about Eve Torres? Is it time to scrap this show or actually try and make it matter? All you have to do is listen to find out. So do that now, listen and comment.

Stunt Granny Audio Show- WWE Elimination Chamber 2012 Review

There were five matches on this card. I’d love to grade this show on a two point system but that’d be giving too much credit to Beth Phoenix & Tamina and Jack Swagger & Justin Gabriel. The WWE also squeezed in a segment for some returning from injury Superstars so that makes six segments. To come around to a nice eleven count, I’ll grade the Elimination Chamber matches as three points each, one point to the Divas, the GM summit & US Title match and two points for the main event of Kane versus John Cena in an Ambulance Match.

The Raw Elimination Chamber - The above video is Chris Jericho ranting about not actually losing in the Elimination Chamber because he wasn’t pinned or submitted. I’d love to have heard Michael Bisping complain to the UFC that he wasn’t knocked out by Dan Henderson. Funny what you can do in fake wrestling to garner heat. I expected the match to go this way because CM Punk shouldn’t have dropped the strap even if it was to Jericho. It had been batted around for a while and deserves a home for an extended period. Kofi provided the usual spot monkey moves. The Miz got the best of the build up in the match itself.R  Truth & Dolph Ziggler were in there just to fill spots which is too bad especially for my boy. Score: +2.

Beth Phoenix vs Tamina Snuka – The announcers couldn’t drive home the Snuka point more than they did. Of course Tamina will remind you of her dad if she uses the exact same move set that he did. The WWE did their best to show Beth in peril so that she could look strong in victory against an opponent that was the same size as her. The problem as usual is that the WWE doesn’t use enough time to build up the women. I don’t expect their league to be built around it. If you’re going to have the division though, do it right. Beth heads in to Wrestlemania for a show down with Kharma, I imagine. That didn’t help last night. Score: 0.

Johnny Wooden GM Summit – If they’re going to continue having Super Shows, I’m all for having one GM. If it ends up being Johnny, I’ll want to gauge my eyes out. Teddy Long has been perfect on Smackdown favoring the babyfaces, not piling on the heels and generally staying off my TV more than on it like any GM should.  David Otunga still sucks. A returning Alberto Del Rio got almost no reaction so I can’t wait for the WWE to shove him down our throats again. Mark Henry came out and delivered the only funny part of the segment by claiming he was bullied by Teddy Long. Christian got more of a response but he got no mic time to try and drag this segment out of the abyss. Score: -1.

Smackdown Elimination Chamber – I had forgotten that Wade Barrett & Cody Rhodes had needled Big Show about his Wrestlemania record so it was a nice touch to have them be the first three men in. It was a plus over Raw which started with two baby faces. It was interesting that they combined to beat him so I’ll call a nice handicapped match for Wrestlemania for those three. Khali deserves a sentence. Santino could be more than a comedy act as he proved in this match but considering the bevy of Rocky inspired vignettes before the match, that won’t be happening. He did keep the crowd involved and chanting for him while he was in there especially when he nailed the Cobra on Daniel Bryan. I’m glad Bryan kept the strap. His chicken shitness hit another level considering he only pinned a jobber who the crowd happens to adore. Score: +3.

Jack Swagger vs Justin Gabriel – I expected the filler match to be about the tag team straps in my preview but this match did the same trick. Filler to make sure they didn’t end the PPV too early which they still almost did. It’d be nice if the WWE cared about their undercard or belts other than the WWE & Worlc Championships. Score: 0.

John Cena vs Kane in an Ambulance Match – I noted this in my review but the dueling Cena chants made the venue as loud as it had been the whole night. Males in my age bracket, if you really want to get rid of Cena stop shouting Cena sucks. It allows the WWE to keep him in the main event despite the fact that he doesn’t have a title belt. It wasn’t a particularly good brawl but it worked for me. They didn’t try any nonsense like a head lock or arm bar. The end spot with Kane going off the ambulance by way of Attitude Adjustment made for a nice visual but it drug out a foregone conclusion since Cena had to climb down then put Kane on the gurney before finishing the match. Score: +1.

Final Score: 5/11. I’ll be back for a short podcast talking over the Elimination Chamber with Jeremy later today. We hope. -Kevin

My dogs have been freakishly tired today. They slept from 3 until 7 then woke up for a short walk and food and are back asleep. Time to start the review for the show on time then. Kind of a nice gig. I do need to grab some food though. Justin Roberts is explaining the Elimination Chamber rules. I’m a little surprised that the Raw Chamber match is first. Daniel Bryan may lose the strap in the main event then. I’m not a fan of Dolph Ziggler’s new jacket. CM Punk gets hosed and has to start the match against Kofi Kingston. Mildly weird to have two baby faces start the match. Punk looks really strange shaved. I was pleasantly surprised that Kofi got thru the first entrant. Ziggler is the first man in. Booker is really selling Dolph. R Truth is the next man in the match. Truth gets the Axe Kick on Ziggler who kicks out. I love that Punk keeps aggravating Jericho by doing stuff toward his pod. Truth gets covered after the top rope elbow by Punk to be the first eliminated. Kofi gets his spot with a springboard grab the chamber tornado DDT. Always need a spot monkey in these types of matches. The Miz enters with everyone else down. Miz starts attacking them all. Kofi ends up taking the brunt of the Miz’s offense. Punk kicks out of the Miz’s DDT. Punk locks in the Anaconda Vice right before Jericho comes out. Punk lets go of Miz so that he can duke it out with Chris Jericho. Chris goes on offense to start. Jericho only gets a two count from the Lionsault. Code Breaker on my boy Dolph gets him eliminated. Booker taking a weird tact saying that Jericho is too old to compete. Kofi & Miz are taking Edge Coffee Breaks (TM). Jericho uses the pod to weaken up Punk’s left shoulder. Kofi & Miz get some play time. Punk powerbomb’s Miz who kicks out. Kofi climbs on top of the pod and cross body blocks the Miz & Punk. The Miz kicks out so they have some faith in him still. Jericho locks in the Walls of Jericho for Kofi’s elimination. Jericho assaults Kofi after he is eliminated. Punk kicks Jericho out of the Chamber. Jericho acts like he’s out. The doctor comes to look at him. The refs count Jericho out by way of KO. The Miz kicks out after the same kick to the head. Punk sets up for the spring board clothesline. Skull Crushing Finale by Miz gets a close call. They’re making him look strong tonight. Miz just kind of yells at Punk and has some offense. King & Booker mentioning Miz losing his cool. Miz goes head first into a pod. GTS on the Miz leads to the victory for CM Punk. The match itself didn’t do a whole lot for me. I thought it was wise to keep the belt on Punk instead of swapping it to Jericho. I agree. Let Punk ride with it. They said the match was 33 minutes so that means there was about 15 minutes of entrance & review.

Mitchell Cool, Jerry Lawler & Booker T get to talk about Randy Orton being out of the Smackdown EC. Oh my, they’re calling Santino winning a Jeremy Lin moment. They cut to Santino dressed like Rocky and cracking eggs into a glass. WWE writers, you’re not funny. We get a sneak peak of John Cena lifting at Hard Knocks. The WWE Developmental kids love Cena for being nice. He focuses on the Rock so they are telegraphing even more that Cena wins tonight.

Beth Phoenix is wearing plaid because she sought advice from Rowdy Roddy Piper since he fought Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka. Tamina comes down second. The announcers talk about how much she reminds them of Jimmy. Two years after she started. Beth asks Tamina to get out of her ring. Beth has a head butt back fire on her. Tamina goes up early but Beth drops her to the floor. The crowd is pretty quiet for this match. Tamina goes for the splash again but gets caught by Beth again. Suplex from the second rope but Beth doesn’t capitalize. They exchange some big punches. Splash in the corner by Tamina leads to a kick. She sets Beth up for the splash for chance number three. Tamina nails the splash but Beth kicks out. They just put some interest in the match. Glam Slam shortly there after for Beth to retain. For some reason, the baby face announcers had to doubt Beth the whole match. I’d wager a guess that Kharma gets the slot at Wrestlemania now.

Johnny Wooden GM had a big story that WWE.com took an entire day to pick up on. Quality work within their own company. Johnny wants the same scrutiny for Teddy Long as he got for himself. Alberto Del Rio makes his return to something just over zero reaction. For some reason, Del Rio has a problem with him even though he’s a Raw guy. He wants Johnny to be the GM of both brands. Mark Henry comes to the ring. Evidently, you shouldn’t be suspended for assaulting management. This segment may have because a bigger black hole than Layla & Michelle McCool. Christian is going to try and drag this segment to some level of respectability. Christian looks like Karl Pilkington from An Idiot Abroad. Three votes and you think you deserve to GM of both shows? That’s a low bar. The crowd chants for HHH. Oh, Mitchell Cool puts in a vote for him too. Just awful.

Josh Matthews asks about the Big Show‘s bad track record at Wrestlemania and if he needs to have the belt going into it. We get nothing really. Woof. Wade Barrett starts the match against the Big Show. Not sure why I had the odd idea that anything other than Cena vs Kane would be the main event. Booker selling that Khali might cramp up in the pod. That angle should be used at some point for one of the guys squeezed in a pod like a sardine. Barrett getting in more offense than I expected. Big Show on the offense though when the clock hits zero. Cody Rhodes is the next out. The announcers have pointed out Barrett & Rhodes making fun of Big Show’s woes at Wrestlemania. I skipped a bit to cook some sausage. Barrett & Rhodes are fighting with the Big Show down. I’ll take it they double teamed Show. Santino is the next one in. Santino knocks down Barrett. He comes face to face with Big Show. He tosses Santino for a while until Rhodes clips Show. Big Show turns it around again. The crowd chants for Santino. Rhodes & Barrett suplex Big Show on the metal area. Rhodes is taking it to Santino. The Great Khali enters and knocks down Barrett & Rhodes. He takes out Santino too. Big Show spears Khali for the first elimination. Show stares at Daniel Bryan who will enter last. Big Show starts breaking into his pod from the top. Big Show walks thru the top to start beating on Bryan.  Cool spot. Bryan escapes when the pod opens but Bryan gets tossed thru the plexiglass soon there after by Big Show. He is just mowing thru Bryan. Big Show choke slams Bryan. Barrett nails Show with a couple of boots to the face. Santino almost gets a surprise pin. Disaster kick twice by Rhodes on Show. Rhodes plants Show with a DDT. Barrett drops a big elbow on Show. Rhodes gets the pin on Show. I didn’t see that coming. Santino pins Rhodes who is gloating over Big Show. Rhodes hits Cross Rhodes on Santino before leaving. Barrett hangs up Santino for the patented knees. Daniel Bryan gets a pin and rolls into an almost LeBell Lock. The crowd is confused since Santino is the only face left. Wade Barrett gets an endorsement by Cool & Booker. Bryan is definitely winning. Barrett powerbombs Bryan against the cage. Santino gets the rag doll treatment. Santino going for a second rope Superplex. Barrett misses the top rope elbow drop. Santino pins Barrett after a top rope head but by Bryan. This is going to be such a cheap win for Bryan. It’s awesome. He eliminated no one except Santino. A kick to the head doesn’t do in Santino. Bryan misses a charge in the corner. The crowd is buying into Santino being able to win. Bryan misses the top rope head butt. Santino goes for the Cobra. He nails Bryan who kicks out. Bryan turns it into a LeBell Lock. Santino tries to get out. The crowd goes nuts but Bryan keeps it locked and win. Sheamus attacks Bryan after the match. We got us another match at Wrestlemania.

Hornswoggle gets to make a cut the cheese joke with Natalya. No one farts like that. The WWE writers still aren’t funny. Jack Swagger and Justin Gabriel fill time around the cheese plate. Jack Swagger puts in his vote of confidence for Johnny Wooden GM. please let Teddy Long be the one GM. Why are these two clowns getting a match on the PPV? Evidently this match is the the title that Swagger has. I didn’t remember that. Hornswoggle is at ring side. Gabriel with a nice twisting cross body to the outside. Jack Swagger locks in Davey Richards move for the win. Fabulous.

The John Cena versus Kane video package allows me to put away most of my dishes. Too bad I couldn’t get to my laundry. It’ll have to wait for a while. Kane brings Cena back to the stage area where the ambulance is. Cena attacks him with the orange board. Cena acts a little hesitant. I think that was on purpose. Cena tosses Kane into the steps. He takes that so well. He tosses the top set really far every time. Kane reigns down on Cena with some punches. The dueling chants make it as loud as it’s been as it’s been all night long. Cena drops the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cool correctly pointing out they’re a long way from the ambulance. Kane gives Cena the Claw. Kane takes a while to start dragging Cena to the back. Kane grabs a wheel chair. Cena fights back when they’re about half way up the walk way. Cena throws Kane into the ambulance. Cena nabs the wheel chair and slams Kane with it. Cena puts Kane in the chair then throws it into some loose tables. That looked not painful at all. Thank goodness Kane whacks Cena with a foreign object.  Cena slams Kane with a chair in the gut then back. Cena and Kane fight thru the tech area and some in the crowd. Cena tosses Kane over the barricade. Cena whacks him with the microphone. Cena nails Kane with a Spanish monitor. He clears off the rest of the table. Cena whacks him with the top set of stairs. Cena makes a stairway over the Spanish announce table. An Attitude Adjustment gets turned into a Kane choke slam. Kane goes to the back and grabs the gurney. It’s a smart plan. There was only one other ambulance match? Kane versus Shane? Wow. I’m surprised. I didn’t expect a high number but I thought there was more. Cena fights out after Kane has him loaded into the ambulance. Que the Superman come back. Cena gets Kane to chase him to the top of the ambulance. Cena tosses Kane with an Attitude Adjustment off the top. There is no reason this shouldn’t be a formality. Big but obvious win for Cena. -Kevin

This is more of a preview than a review.

They started with Daniel Bryan/Big Show/Randy Orton recap. Orton starts out in Teddy Long‘s office. Teddy can’t let Orton wrestle because of his concussion. He tells him it’s tonight or the Elimination Chamber. Injuries happen so may as well use it. The Big Show & the Great Khali are taking on Cody Rhodes & Wade Barrett. Good way to get all of the Chamber participants on TV even if Bryan was only in the preview.  Wade Barrett’s push against Orton is officially dead. Big Show destroys Barrett & Khali. Teddy Long says that Orton’s out of the Elimination Chamber. Mark Henry wants to be put in it. Big Show comes in and asks for Daniel Bryan tonight. Henry tells him to take his turn. Big Show drops him. Big Show destroys his office. They are really selling Show. He’s doing good work. Before I get to far, be sure to check out Dusty & Matt’s audio about TNA below. I doubt I’m getting to that review. I will watch it before Elimination Chamber, I hope.

Teddy Long wants security to politely take Big Show out of the building because of Big Show’s threats. Ted DiBiase takes on Hunico again. Ted has a soft cast now. Hunico gets a cheap win with Camacho’s help. Nice little undercard stuff. It’s got squat to do with the PPV though.

They did the usual replay of HHH/UT/Shawn Michaels. That has nothing to do with the PPV. Unless HHH makes it official there. The tag team match with the Usos versus Rosa Mendes with I suppose Primo & Epico may get repeated on the Elimination Chamber if they think they don’t have enough filler for the show. Back Stabber for the win. Daniel Bryan comes to the ring smiling after it is announced Big Show has voluntarily left.

Daniel Bryan has the stick. We get replay of Monday again. Bryan brags about continuing to win. He tells the crowd he proved them wrong by winning the title. I just hope he doesn’t sink when he loses the title belt. Bryan has a strong run going here. Bryan should note that he’ll be champion at Wrestlemania like he claimed so many months ago. Bryan wants Lilian to announce him as the winner of the match. What a dick move. OK, there’s the missing Teddy. Sheamus is the happy volunteer replacement for Orton. Good way to get him involved in this mix since he’s been on standby for and through the Elimination Chamber. Cena versus Kane preview video package. Plus for a go home show.

The match starts after the commercial break. Sheamus takes over and Bryan tries to leave. Bryan tried to get Sheamus counted out. Sheamus got in the ring but Bryan was still in control. Sheamus gets in some offense as I sit and think to myself, this will be a better match at Wrestlemania when it gets time. Bryan slaps then spits on Sheamus who tosses the ref aside and gets DQed. I hope Bryan wins the EC to get the rematch at WM.  Teddy Long is shaking his head. Wade Barrett and asks him who their other opponent in the Chamber. Cody Rhodes asks too. Teddy announces a battle royal for the last spot in the Chamber. Cody is right, it’s a terrible way to determine the entrant.

We get a match to officially bury someone, Ezekiel Jackson versus Jinder Mahal. I’m not really paying attention to this match.It has nothing to do with EC. Zeke taps to the camel clutch. Booker calls it an upset. Glad he still had faith in Zeke’s strength. They’ve showed no reason to doubt his power.

Tamina Snuka & Alicia Fox take on Beth Phoenix & Natalya after the commercial break. More Chamber preview. Smackdown has done a much better job than Raw which was way too concentrated on Cena vs Kane. They do more preview during the ring entrances. Alicia takes advantage of Beth early so Natalya tags in acting cocky. Natalya takes control which is weird considering she’s prancing around. Natalya locks in the Sharp Shooter. The ref acts like he smells something. Tamina gets tagged in. Snuka splash and we have a win. Tamina gives Phoenix a super kick then heads to the top rope. Beth scrambles out of the ring. Keep some interest in the match but I’m calling a Tamina win. Johnny Wooden GM says the battle royal is a bad choice because someone with no charisma could get in. Johnny says that David Otunga is the man to win the battle royal. Teddy wishes him good luck after insulting him.

So easy to mow through the Cena vs Kane preview. I’m calling Cena to end that feud. Yeah, I know I’m really going out on a limb with that one. David Otunga gets to be the last one to come out but we know he isn’t winning. It seems like the NXT guys got tossed first. They went to a commercial. I’m still not paying attention. I know Santino wins. He’s got no chance at the EC. Big Zeke gets some heat back in the battle royal. Drew, Otunga & Santino are the last four. The piped in crowd was piped in for Santino at first but the people in the background start chanting for him when him & Otunga are the last two. Otunga acts too cocky and it costs him. Mitchell Cool gets to rant and push the Elimination Chamber all at once. -Kevin

Update: It’d be really cool if Christian came back at the Elimination Chamber as this story from Prowrestling.net suggests. I’d geek out but he’s still going to end up losing. I don’t see the WWE letting him headline a Wrestlemania match.

I forgot a preview prediction for Raw Elimination Chamber. I’m going with CM Punk in this match because him and Chris Jericho have something good going. Putting the belt on Jericho doesn’t do anyone any good. Kofi, Dolph, the Miz & R Truth are in there for window dressing. -Kevin
