Ken & Kevin are back to discussing some of the crazy technology that’s coming down the pike. The first topic dealt is the new computer that has finally beaten professional poker players in Pittsburgh PA. The program known as Libratus and was built by students at Carnegie Mellon University. Why has it taken so long for computers to conquer poker since it has beaten champions in checkers, chess and even as previously discussed the Chinese game known as Go? How recently had these same poker players beaten the same computer program? The guys move along to a piece of technology that may be able to read the mind of those who are paralyzed. How are doctors looking to help solve “Locked In Syndrome?” How can some people who are paralyzed communicate? How many people reacted to the line of questioning the doctors used? How do they analyze the answers? What else could this technology be applied to? Sometimes technology is our enemy, especially when cyber criminals lock you out of your hotel room. Why didn’t this hotel in Austria have a physical back up? How much was the ransom? How smart are the criminals that commit these acts? Does that help to resolve the conflict quickly? Ken & Kevin’s last topic of the night is a Cheeto shaped like Harambe the Gorilla. How does this story still have legs? How much did someone allegedly pay for this Cheeto? Should this person reinvest in finding more Harambe shaped Cheetos with the proceeds? Last but not least, what was the Bell Time Beer of the Week? Find out when you click the link below!
