Let's hope a leg injury doesn't set the Miz back too much!

UPDATE: According to Miz’s tweet seven hours ago (@MiketheMiz), he did not injure his leg last night during a dark match against John Cena; the multiple reports that came into PWTorch.com were a hoax perpetrated by a group of very funny human beings. Not gonna lie, folks: I wrote “it could be much ado about nothing” because I assumed the news was too juicy to be true. I personally just sat through that debacle of a “dark match” between Mark Henry and nobody at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines and considered the possibility that nothing actually happened with Miz, that the Miz was trying to pull one over on everyone, or *gasp* some fun-loving wacky guys would send false reports out to widely read wrestling Web sites just to make themselves laugh. That’s fine, I was a prankster back in my day: I once told my math teacher she had toilet paper on her shoe, AND SHE TOTALLY DIDN’T!!! God dammit, I killed myself with that one. Here’s Miz’s Tweet:

OK, this is the last thing I wanted to type: According to PWTorch.com, the Miz appeared to injure his leg during his dark match against John Cena after tonight’s Raw went off the air. The match stopped with no winner, Miz had to be helped out by paramedics, and Cena simply thanked the fans for coming before sending them home with visions of jean shorts dancing in their heads.

Can any positive come of this? Maybe some time on the shelf will keep Miz who, honestly, was dangerously close to being overexposed, fresh upon his return. And Alex Riley can try to get over on his own without the crutch/shadow of Miz looming over him. But really (really), this could turn out to be shitty, no matter how you slice it. Or it could be much ado about nothing, but who are we to jump to conclusions? #historicalreference -Eric
