Stunt Granny Interview Series: Joe Dombrowski of #PrimeWrestling & The Montreal Theory

Joe Dombrowski, the play by play man of Prime Wrestling, has taken his time to put together a two disc DVD about the infamous “Montreal Screwjob”. The first disc tells the official story that has been given to us by the WWE. The second disc tells a more interesting tale called the Montreal Theory. It questions whether Bret Hart was in on the story with Vince McMahon. The presenters, such as Steve Corino, Raven and Kevin Kelly, have a number of theories but they don’t all match. The disc can be purchased at Wrestlecon on April 6th & 7th. To learn more about it, go here. Mr. Dombrowski will also provide us with special insight on the product that he calls, Prime Wrestling. Did Dombrowski ever fancy himself a wrestler? Which league brought him his first job? Who are the influences on his announcing style? Why did they change the name from Pro Wrestling Ohio to Prime Wrestling? Their next taping is at the Cleveland Agora. What delayed the most recent taping? Is it a homecoming since the taping is in Cleveland? The last question is, will Dan be able able to attend Wrestlelution? Join him and Kevin for this special interview.

Stunt Granny Interview Series-Joe Dombrowski

#PrimeWrestling – #PressureRising Interviews II

barometerPrime Wrestling decided to do review shows from their iPPV on regular TV. I won’t review the matches since I already did that here. They didn’t show the matches in their entirety but they showed the ends to all of the matches. I’m not a fan especially since they were still shilling the iPPV. DJ Korey was our host.

Benjamin Boone was mad about not having an opponent. He invited anyone from past or present to fight him. Analysis: What else can you do when you have no opponent and no direction in character? Not his best work.

Melissa introduced Aiden Veil & Logan Schulo. They talked about their band and didn’t act all that excited. Analysis: She was more peppy than them. I don’t care for the band thing because they sound more serious about it than 3MB. You need to tie the theme into the promos more if you’re going to be serious. I’m thinking something like Fandango. You could cheese it up and say “We’re going to drum our opponents out of the ring.” It needs a bit of a spark but these guys are a first show team. I’ll give them some leeway.

Louis Lynden did his promo in black & white while wearing an old Chinese straw hat. Lyndon talked about how big the match with Michael Facade was for him. He said he wanted to shine and prove himself in Prime Wrestling. The crane will fly in new directions. Analysis: Lyndon brings something fresh. I dig his metaphors even though I’d beat most people up about it.

strawhat

Justin LaBar gives his good bye speech. I enjoy the crowd chanting “You got fired” again. I fast forwarded through the rest of the segment with Nicki Valentino. Time saving all over this episode since this was covered in my iPPV review.

Krimson got a video. “A good man would prefer to be defeated rather than defeat injustice by evil means” was his theme against Johnny Gargano. He said he’s going to put Gargano to the test at Pressure Rising. He said he will be resurrected like the morning star. Johnny Gargano said that Krimson makes a living getting in people’s heads but he can’t do that to him. Gargano said he is in Krimson’s head. He told Krimson it will be his darkest day and that he’ll shine like a bright star. Gargano concluded by saying he’d still be champion after Prime Wrestling. Analysis: Krimson is still adding to his catalog of good or great promos. I wonder if he’s the one searching for the philosophy quotes week in and out. Gargano continues to round out his body of work on the mic. Good work for the main event.

This episode was stranger than the first one because the only back and forth promos were about the main event between Krimson and Gargano. Gory & Kirst didn’t get to counter Veil & Shulo. The TV Champion Michael “The Bomber” Facade didn’t have a response to Lynden. The episode would have been better with those promos added. Prime Wrestling had a taping March 16th so I’ll hope the new episodes start soon. -Kevin

#PrimeWrestling – Pressure Rising Interviews

Prime Wrestling decided to do review shows from their iPPV on regular TV. I won’t review the matches since I already did that here. They didn’t show the matches in their entirety but they showed the ends to all of the matches. I’m not a fan especially since they were still shilling the iPPV. DJ Korey was our host.

“Amazing” N8 Mattson was the first interview by Courtney, who really needs a microphone even if it doesn’t work. Mattson said that he was looking for real competition not a comedian like Bryan Castle. He said that even Castle’s mother is ashamed of him. Mattson said he’d amaze Castle tonight with his victory. Bryan Castle did his promo solo. He said he hasn’t had much luck with partners starting with Mattson, Brian Bender or Bat Dan Arkham. He said his luck was going to change tonight. Analysis: Mattson had a decent showing but not one of his better ones. Castle needs to get a new direction. I’m going to keep beating that drum for a while.

Courtney interviewed Marti Belle who interrupted her introduction. Belle left New York just to come here. At the end day, she said she’s number one. Belle said it in Spanish first. I think she had a Dominican Republic baseball jersey on. Melissa was new to Prime Wrestling. She was with Jessie Kaye. Jessie doesn’t think Belle knows what she’s getting into. Kaye wants to annihilate her. Analysis: These women are opposites. Kaye is great on the mic, terrible in the ring. Marti is terrible on the mic, great in the ring. Courtney needs to look more interested & Melissa was so over the top. They’ve got some work to do but it’s early.

Bobby Shields was in the locker room. He has suffered through a lot of pain. Shields said that most men would go into a depression if they went through what he did. Now that he lost his hair, he’s lost everything that was important to him so he’s dangerous because he’s lost it all. Shields told Nicki Valentino to side with him. Bobby Beverly wanted to put an end to Sex Appeal for good. Beverly said he’d kick off Shields head and if Valentino didn’t go to his side, he’d do the same to him. Nicki Valentino was “squatting” 360. He said it’s a big night for him. He decided to buy one fanny pack for each of them. Valentino said he’ll make his intentions perfectly well known by the end of the night. Analysis: I liked Shields promo even if it was rehash material for the most part. Beverly had no substance. Valentino’s promo was good and really should have been aired before the PPV or during it. I don’t think Aaron Maguire or Joe Dombrowski adequately covered Valentino’s promise. The setting for his promo was a little odd. 360 doesn’t seem unreasonable to squash but he clearly wasn’t doing one then when the camera’s arrived.

#PrimeWrestling – #PressureRising iPPV

pressure_rising_poster_prime_wrestling_by_jeremyhovan

I’m guessing neither Prime Wrestling or Jeremy Hovan (designer) will object to me using this jpeg.

Joe Dombrowski and Aaron Maguire introduce the show. The big news is that the Prime Championship match will be wrestled under relaxed rules. “Amazing” N8 Mattson was the first out with Benjamin Boone in tow. Bryan Castle was his opponent. Castle used his size early. Matt Mason has diverticulitis. Mattson tried to slam Castle. It got reversed. Boone distracted Castle so that Mattson could attack him from behind. Mattson drop kicked him low. Boone took advantage while Mattson distracted the referee. Mattson drop kicked Castle in the knee. Mattson got a two count from a second rope leg drop. Mattson missed a charge in the corner. Castle connected with punches, clothesline and axe handles. Mattson reversed into a Code Breaker for a two count. Boone tried to distract Castle who whacked him with Mattson in the fireman’s  carry position. Mattson got spun onto Castle’s back for a package Stunner and a Castle win.

Analysis: Fun opening match. They could turn this into a match for Wrestlelution between Castle & Boone since they’re closer size wise. Score: +1.

Marti Belle got to introduce herself. She said that many of the men in the crowd don’t have experience with women like Prime Wrestling. Jessie Kay was her opponent. Kay arm dragged her several times. Belle tossed Kay by the ears. Belle strangled her on the second rope. Belle elbowed Kay. Belle reverse chin locked Kay. A Jaw jacker by Kay led to a neck breaker. They traded elbows by Kay won. Belle kicked out of a swinging neck breaker. Kay spine bustered Belle. Marti Belle hit the Reality Check for the win.

Analysis: Jessie Kay was as disappointing in the ring as she was awesome on the mic. Marti Belle didn’t get any help so I’ll wait and see on her. Score: 0.

Bobby Shields came out without covering his head. Bobby Beverly was next. Nicki Valentino came out with fanny packs for each Bobby. Beverly knocked Shields out of the ring. Beverly & Valentino traded blows. Shields attacked Beverly from behind. Valentino attacked Shields after a push by him. Valentino missed with a suicide dive. Beverly took over. Dombrowski tried to feed the “Simple man” stuff with Beverly. It’s not working. No one likes it. Shields tossed Beverly outside. Valentino attacked Shields. Shields put him on the top rope. Beverly kicked Shields. Tower of Doom. Beverly & Valentino punched away on Shields. Beverly suplexed Valentino. Shields attacked Beverly. Power sunset flip by Valentino on Beverly. The Bobbys double super kicked Valentino to the outside. Shields went for his finisher. Beverly reversed. Shields tossed Beverly into the referee. Shields fanny pack didn’t contain the chain. Beverly went for his fanny pack but nothing was in it. Beverly super kicked Shields. Valentino nailed Beverly with the chain. He tried to pin both Bobbys but failed. Shields went for his finisher on Valentino but got super kicked by Beverly. Valention groveled when Beverly found the chain. Beverly super kicked Valentino for the win.

Analysis: An excellent match. I liked showing that Valentino had more sense than he has been presented. LEt’s hope he gets even more smarts as they move along. I think he can do more than the goofy pet raccoon gimmick. Score: +1.

The Megalomaniacs (Marion Fontaine, Jeremy Madrox & Ricky Shane Page with Vic Travagliante) against Team Justin LaBar (Matt Cross, Gregory Iron and Matthew Justice) was up next. Cross started against Fontaine. Cross got in a standing moonsault early. Iron went to work on Fontaine. Madrox & Fontaine collided. Justice squared off against Page. Justice grabbed his knee. It looked to be legitimate. Iron was pitted against Madrox. Iron ended up taking the beat down from the Megalomaniacs. Nope, it sounds like the knee injury was a work if he is refusing care in the back. Iron finally fought his way out of a double team with Fontaine & Madrox. Cross came in and crushed everyone. Cross caught the heels with a top rope moonsault onto the floor. Cross missed a Shooting Star Press. Iron cross bodied the Megalomaniacs on the outside. Vic and LaBar fight. Justice grabbed the lap top from Maguire. He then cracked Iron with the lap top. Page covered Iron for the win. Dombrowski isn’t doing a great job trying to garner sympathy for LaBar or “the company”.

Analysis: They did a good job with the injury angle but it all makes sense now. Let’s hope they don’t forget about his heel turn like they did when he joined the Dead Wrestling Society. Justice gives them an interesting piece. He could really be the leader. The match was well wrestled. They took an intermission after this match so time for the read more button. Score: +1.

#PrimeWrestling – Season 6 – Episode 9

Alrighty then. I obviously didn’t catch up in enough time to watch the iPPV on time. I bought it but I need to get thru the go home show first. The good part is if they had any previews, I’m blowing right through them. I liked the way the last pair of reviews went. I got rid of some of the junk offense (punch, kick, 1 move to stop a beat down, etc.) so I’m sticking with it.

“Amazing” N8 Mattson was first out of the back with Benjamin Boone. Kid Hybrid is wrestling out of a dojo too. His look says Social Distortion. Mattson caught him with a cheap clothes line to start. Mattson got in the early offense. Mattson tossed Hybrid outside and distracts the referee. Boone took advantage. Mattson fisherman bustered Hybrid. Mattson only got two after an M80 middle rope leg drop. Hybrid turned it around with some stomps. Hybrid nailed a Back Cracker. He rolled it into a chicken wing bridge submission. Boone jumped to the apron. Hybrid missed a corner charge. Mattson nailed the swinging neck breaker for the win. The name of the finisher is escaping me and the announcers are to busy hyping other matches in the iPPV to call it.

Analysis: It was a needed win to help re-establish the Sons of Michigan who have had a down year and a half. I hope they get to use Hybrid more. Solid build and moves around the ring well. Score: +1.

They hyped Krimson vs Johnny Gargano for Pressure Rising. Nicki Valentino has been asked about his intentions with Bobby Beverly & Bobby Shields. He’s going to make his plans crystal clear at Pressure Rising. Analysis: Woof. He just hyped the iPPV and acted dumb. I know that’s his schtick but he could do better. Bobby Shields complained about losing his identity and how he has suffered more than anyone else from the defunct Sex Appeal. He will prove that he was the real leader of Sex Appeal at Pressure Rising. Analysis: That’s how you go with a short promo. Even if I think the hair losing thing is a bit over board. Bobby Beverly did his promo at the electrical panels because he’s a simple man. He will make it to the top on his ability not his sex appeal. Beverly will take out Valentino if he isn’t with him. Analysis: Two out of three is worth a score. Score: +1.

Vic Travagliante, Jeremy Madrox, Marion Fontaine and Ricky Shane Page are the cool kids smoking in the stair well. Okay, so they weren’t smoking. Vic complained about LaBar again. Madrox is going to attack Iron with Zack Gowen’s cane after they win. Page is going to take out Matt Cross because he was never taken to Disney World. Fontaine knows that because LaBar’s choice is from the past of Prime Wrestling that the third member will be bad. Travagliante closed the loop by saying that he will be commissioner of Prime Wrestling. Analysis: Three out of four is a nice total of short promos. Page is still doing nothing for me. Score: +1.

Gregory Iron stared into space as Matt Cross talked. Justin LaBar was grinning like he had a crush on Cross. “M-Dogg” wants to be the three time Prime Wrestling Champion. He doesn’t care about the Megalomaniacs as much as the title. LaBar showed us his “Reality Check” with a box & check mark included. Analysis: I liked Cross’s promo but the distractions were weird. Why didn’t they get mic time other than to show off a terrible shirt? Score: +1.

Michael Facade and Louis Lyndon came out of the elevator together. Facade is glad that Lyndon is his challenger. Lyndon told him he’s not going to hold back. Facade expected nothing but the best from him. Lyndon isn’t going to hold the belt until Facade is out of Prime Wrestling. Lyndon got pissed and said he will take the title from him. Analysis: Facade is moving slowly in the right direction with his promos too. Lyndon is a good talker. Score: +1.

They did a Pressure Rising run down. Matt Cross came out first. Johnny Gargano was second. Pedro De Lucca did the formal introductions. They shook hands. Gargano went with an arm bar to start. They traded arm drags. They fought on the outside. Cross dropped the flag pole elbow. Gargano sling shot speared him back into the ring. Gargano nailed a neck breaker. Cross hit an atomic drop. Cross only got two from a sling shot cross body. They traded kicks. Cross suicide dove onto Gargano. Cross double stomped Gargano on the back. Cross only got two from a standing moonsault. Cross missed a spring board moonsault. Gargano lawn darted Cross into the corner. Gargano super kicked Cross. Gargano hit his finisher Uniquely You but Cross kicked out. Gargano perched Cross on the top rope. Cross pounded on Gargano’s back. Cross gave him an Attitude Adjustment neck breaker. Cross missed the Shooting Press. Gargano super kicked him. Cross gave Gargano a reverse huracanrana. Cross bicycle kicked Gargano. Cross missed another Shooting Star Press. Gargano nailed two Uniquely Yous but Cross kicked out. Gargano went three peat and got the win. Cross grabbed the mic and said that Prime Wrestling will be his home until the fans won’t have him. Cross turned his anger on the Megalomaniacs. He just wants good honest wrestling not politics. Cross milked it more until the Megalomaniacs attacked. Gargano cleared them with a chair. The Dead Wrestling Society attacked Gargano. Gregory Iron tried to make the save but got knocked out by Ricky Shane Page. Matthew Justice made the save and was announced as the third member of Team LaBar.

Analysis: A very ROH finish with multiple kick outs from a finisher. I don’t think this was their best match against each other but it was still a good match. Dear lord did that promo drag on forever. Just go with a shorter show. You don’t need to make it 53 minutes every time. Go quality over quantity. Good surprise ending though with the reveal of the third member out of the blue. I had wondered where he went after he came back from the WWE. He deserved to get there so I’m cool with a re-appearance. Score: +1.

#PrimeWrestling – Season 6 – Episode 8

I’m going to try things a little bit different today. Prime Wrestling has an iPPV, Pressure Rising, on Saturday evening. I’d like to be able to catch up so that I can do a preview before then. We’ll see how Saturday shakes out. Hold on, I think my girl works that night. I’ll ponder that thought more later. I’m going to do a quicker style review than normal. I don’t feel as bad since I attach the video if possible these days.

Gory came out for a match against Louis Lyndon. The winner of the match takes on Michael “The Bomber” Facade at Pressure Rising. Gory assaulted Lyndon while he did crowd work. They started on the outside of the ring. Lyndon dominated  early. Lyndon slapped on a cross arm breaker. Gory went to the outside after a head scissors take over. Lyndon nailed a spring board moonsault to the outside. Gory knocked Lyndon down from the top ropes. Gory low drop kicked Lyndon. Gory hung him out to dry. Gory yapped to the crowd. Lyndon hulked out. Lyndon connected with a crane kick. Gory kicked out after an enziguri. Gory bit Lyndon on the forehead. QAS by Gory got a two count. Gory went for the trick knee but Lyndon caught it. Lyndon hit the full nelson bridge suplex for the win.

Analysis: I was surprised Lyndon got so much offense. Gory can absorb the loss but he looked kind of weak in this one. I’m glad it isn’t the same match up for the TV Title. Lyndon deserves a bump like this. I’ve liked him for a while. Still not sure why TNA took Flip Kendrick instead. Score: +1.

Courtney Morgan interviewed Justin LaBar was there to introduce the other members of his team. Gregory Iron & an absent Zack Gowen were introduced. He is proud to be defending Prime Wrestling. Analysis: Sounds like a solid team to me. This promo was not the best for Iron. He had no gusto. Baby Momma Drama is out on the lip ring. I’m all for them. Score: 0.

They panned up Jessie Kay. Her goal is to excite, delight and stamp out any tramps in Prime Wrestling. It doesn’t mean you have to be a woman. She’s going to take out Marti Bell. Analysis: I love her. Fun delivery, rhymed and went at it. Score: +1.

Nicki Valentino took on Bryan Castle. Valentino tried to go on the offensive. His size prevented him from doing much. Castle caught Valentino off the top ropes. Castle missed for a sit down. Bobby Shields showed up on the stage and walked to the ring. Valentino crotch rode the infamous bandana of Castle. He nailed Valentino with a corner splash. Valentino hit a jaw jacker. Castle missed a middle rope splash. Shields held onto the fanny pack. Castle cross bodied Valentino after he turned around with the pack. Analysis: Fun comedy match that did what they could in the ring given the disparity in size. Score: +1.

#PrimeWrestling – Season 6 – Episode 7

I’m going to try things a little bit different today. Prime Wrestling has an iPPV, Pressure Rising, on Saturday evening. I’d like to be able to catch up so that I can do a preview before then. We’ll see how Saturday shakes out. Hold on, I think my girl works that night. I’ll ponder that thought more later. I’m going to do a quicker style review than normal. I don’t feel as bad since I attach the video if possible these days.

Bobby Shields is taking on Michael “The Bomber” Facade for the TV Title. Shields grabbed the mic. People don’t understand the pain of him losing his hair. Joe Dombrowski & Aaron Maguire recap Shields’s assault of Facade last month after he’d been injured at another event. They had a stare down while Pedro De Lucca does the formal introductions. They stalked each other before trading blows. Facade connects with a leg lariat. The camera man had a hard time following Shields outside the ring. Facade walks the ropes but Shields shakes him off. Shields stomped away. Shields drops knees after a suplex. Shields missed a moonsault. Facade hulked up. A spring board moonsault got Facade a two count. Facade drop kicked Shields for another two. Shields got two from a Northern Lights suplex. Shields nailed a Mafia kick. Facade kicked out after a Falcon Arrow. Nicki Valentino dropped off his fanny pack. Shields found an empty fanny pack. Bobby Beverly appeared on the entrance ramp and laughed at Shields. Facade nailed the Irashikagi Driver for the win.

Analysis: Very good match. Facade has limited his flying which has made his wrestling better. I wonder if the recovery from a broken foot has anything to do with it. I’d love to see Shields get a run with the TV Title. Nice suspense with trying to figure out whether the dolt of the defunct Sex Appeal knew about the missing chain or not. Score: +1.

Vic Travagliante gives Justin LaBar a chance to back out of his match. They employed a secretary or they are really filming at LaBar’s office. Vic found no one in his office. Vic found all of LaBar’s stupid ideas on his computer. Vic stole the lap top and dropped his calling card which was a moustache. Analysis: Filming criminal activities is always stupid. Score: 0.

Bryan Castle, Edric Everhart & Tony Johnson teams against the Megalomaniacs, Ricky Shane Page, Jeremy Madrox and “The Megastar” Marion Fontaine. The Megalomaniacs isolated Everhart early. Page got Castle to snap. Page ended the rampage with a Roaring Elbow. Death Valley Driver on Everhart for the win. Analysis: A definitive win for a team that needs it. Two rookies are taking on some of the biggest stars in Prime Wrestling. Score: +1.

Stunt Granny Audio Show #215

romanian-ghost

Jeremy starts off the show by talking about the ghosts that are haunting his house. Or was it his car? Did he smell scents? What was the trigger? How dumb founded is Kevin during this whole explanation. They turn their talk to wrestling as usual. Why did Punk use Paul Giamatti? Who thinks Giamatti could be cast as Paul Heyman in a movie? Should this promo have come last week? How did Punk’s promo tie into the end of the show? Is it good that he now seems divorced from Paul Heyman? Isn’t that why Heyman was answering for Brock Lesnar on Miz TV? Is Punk also divorced from Brad Maddox & The Shield? Is it good that they lost another large fight? Okay, so that one is obvious but they move on to a heel that could get some traction, Mark Henry. Is he capturing a demographic that isn’t sought by the WWE? Would these fans also root for Ryback? What did Jeremy think about Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara as they were being attacked by Henry? TNA is finally going on the road. How large is the arena they are doing their first taping at? Is too small, too large or just the right size for TNA? Will this help their wrestlers? Will the crowds be as hot as those for previous TNA road tapings? Find out the answers to these questions and more when you click the link below. Unless your ghost won’t let you.

#PrimeWrestling – Season 6 – Episode 9

YouTube-blockedFor some reason, this episode is not on YouTube yet. It’s been more than a week. They usually post it the Tuesday after it airs. Oh well, I’ll replace that picture as soon as I see it posted.

Kirst comes out dressed like Hobo Joe again. He is accompanied by Krimson. Matt Cross was his opponent. Kirst jumped him while he played to the crowd. Cross arm dragged him a couple of times. Cross low bridged Kirst. He followed it with a suicide dive. Kirst turned around an Irish Whip to toss Cross into the guard rail. Kirst attacked him with the collection can while Krimson distracted the ref. Cross back dropped Kirst over the guard rail. They got back into the ring. Kirst ducked Cross and nailed a clothesline. Cross tossed Kirst into the air and flap jacked him. Kirst kicked out at two. Kirst choked Cross on the middle rope. Standing moonsault by Cross was followed with a pin. Kirst tossed Cross into the corner. Kirst dropped a leg. Kirst wasted time mocking Hobo Joe. Cross caught him with a reverse atomic drop. Cross got two after a cross body. Cross gave Kirst the Mortal Combat corner kicks. Kirst suplexed Cross. Kirst went to the top but Cross caught him. Cross went for the Shooting Star Press but Kirst rocked the ropes. Kirst went for a superplex. Cross tossed him away and nailed the SSP for the win. Kirst attacked Cross. Gregory Iron made the save. Ricky Shane Page, Marion Fontaine and Jeremy Madrox attacked. Vic Travagliante was directing traffic.

Analysis: Good match. It did way more for Kirst than any other match. I understand the attack on Cross but it did take away some from Kirst’s showing. Score: +1.

They replaced Gregory Iron being hurt by Kirst last year. Krimson said that every absurdity has a title to defend. Krimson said that Johnny Gargano and Rhino think they have what it takes to stop the Dead Wrestling Society. Krimson said that Gargano doesn’t have it in him. Analysis: Another good promo from this guy. This guy has been awesome. I need the You Tube just to show this promo. Score: +1.

Korey comes out and introduces Michael “The Bomber” Facade. He injured himself in a taping for Extreme Rising pay per view so he can’t wrestle right now. The injury isn’t serious. Facade said he’ll be back in a month. Bobby Shields came out and claimed the Facade was faking it. Shields said that injury wasn’t as traumatizing as it was for him to lose his hair. He lost his identity and dignity. Facade said he wrestled on two broken bones in his foot. Shields stomped on the foot then gave him a thrust kick. Shields attacked the foot with a chair. Shields said that his title reign is just a facade. Shields said the logic belongs to him. Shields said Facade’s read locks were an embarrassment. Shields attacked his ankle with Facade’s cane again. Analysis: Good stuff from Shields. Facade was okay. Korey just seems over eager. Kind of like his day job calls for. I don’t particularly like it. People obviously do. Score: +1.

#PrimeWrestling – Season 6 – Episode 8

Bobby Shields comes to the ring. (I’ll try not to fuck your name up two shows running.) Matt Mason is his opponent. Joe Dombrowski reminded us of a DQ win by Mason last month. Shields pounced on Mason early. Mason goes for some early covers. Shields give Mason the old trick knee low blow. Mason went to the outside. Shields dropped two knees and missed a third. Shields kneed Mason in the gut. Two charges were met with a back elbow and a boot. Mason got tied up in the Tree of Woe. Shields with a basement drop kick. Mason went for an inverted Samoa Drop. Shields recovered quickly. Mason low bridged Shields. Mason gave Shields a clothesline, back elbow and Sky High. Mason gave the ref a flying forearm after Shields dodged it. Shields took advantage of a concerned Mason. Shields grabbed a chain and clocked Mason. He kicked out at two. Mason rolled to the outside. Mason got a loaded fanny pack too. Mason gave Shields a modified GTS for the win.

Analysis: The match itself was good. I’m confused by the outcome though. The baby face uses a chain to win when it isn’t against a hated rival. It doesn’t make anyone look good. Score: 0.

They show highlights of Hobo Joe being put out of wrestling by the Dead Wrestling Society.

Rickey Shane Page came to the ring with Vic Travagliante. Aiden Veil was his opponent who hailed from “The Stage” and came to the ring with drum sticks. (I’m trying not to vomit.) Page assaulted Veil before the bell rang. Page tossed Veil in the air and kicked him in the side. Death Valley Driver by Page led to him talking to Vic. Page dominated the match even longer. Belly to back suplex by Page got a two count. Page locked in a Texas Clover Leaf. Veil got to the ropes to break it. Page no sold Veil’s offense. Veil gave Page a DDT to finally sell. Veil dropped double knees on him. Page nailed the Roaring Elbow for the win. Page attacked Veil after the match. Vic had to slap him to stop the assault.

Analysis: Solid match that continues to build up a monster in Page. The matches have been the same formula with a no sold comeback for the baby face. I’m not sure why both baby faces got out of a Texas Clover Leaf. How strong can this big, bad heel be? I’d like to see a flat out squash. Score: +1.

They showed highlights of the Handicapped Hand Guns from the last episode. Gregory Iron and Zack Gowen were excited about not having to deal with the Sons of Michigan any more. They are excited about being the number one contender’s for the tag titles. Gowen said they had loftier goals but he needed to apologize to Iron for their past ugliness. Iron has never forgotten about the concussion they gave him that kept him out of action. Gowen wondered away. Iron thought he saw Hobo Joe. It was Kirst dressed like Joe. Krimson jumped him. Gowen made the save quickly. Analysis: Dumb baby faces separating for no good reason. It helps set the main event though. Simple promo but well delivered. Score: +1.
