Amy Weber Nude, Iowa vs Michigan, Knee Injury & Hurricane Sandy Aftermath

I couldn’t find the real deal so I borrowed from TMZ permanently.

According to TMZ, Amy Weber has released nude photos because her lap top was stolen. They were from a Playboy shoot that never made it into the sticky pages under my mattress. You might remember her from her role in JBL’s Cabinet. I had to look it up on Wikipedia to make sure one of my Sippy Time Beers hadn’t dislodged a memory of an average WWE Diva.

According to Derrick Bateman’s Twitter (by way of Prowrestling.net) he is out for an undisclosed amount of time because of another knee surgery. I bring him up because he was signed away from then Pro Wrestling Ohio about five years ago. I haven’t seen him much so I won’t critique his work but isn’t five years enough to know if a guy will cut it or not in the WWE? I know it takes a while to learn the ropes but the time frame seems like plenty. If only the WWE had enough TV time to find a spot for him when he got healthy.

Master thief Joel Luke pleaded guilty to fifth degree theft for swiping the TNA Title and thus bringing great shame to the state of Iowa. He will get two years of probation. If only he could have waited for TNA’s next trip through the state for such an opportunity. He could have stolen the new Jeff Hardy Belt and done all wrestling fans around the country a favor. Yes, even those fans that clearly spend money only on Munchos and Cheez Whiz with backpacks full of Faygo but still have enough government assistance left over to drive to Orlando from Michigan just to see that garbage company.

For those of you concerned about your Friday viewing habits because of NBC’s coverage of a Superstorm Sandy benefit concert, don’t worry, be happy. As of now, you can watch replays of one third of Raw and an hour of Smackdown starting at it’s regularly scheduled 8 PM time slot. -Kevin

Stunt Granny Review of @PRIMEWrestling #Wrestlelution 5: An Enduring Spirit

N8 Mattson wonders why you didn’t go to or buy Wrestlelution.

Dan & Kevin are back to talk about Wrestlelution 5.  Dan watched on iPPV and Kevin went to the event, how did these experiences differ? It all started with Kevin telling Dan by text that the event was starting late which they didn’t mention online. Did Dan have any problems aside from that with the stream like Ring of Honor has had? The guys started in the middle of the show talking about the inadvertent ring breaking during the Rhino vs. Jason Bane match. They then reboot and start by talking about the show from start to finish. Did the show start with a crowd pleasing, high energy match with Michael Facade taking on Jason Gory in a Casket Match for the TV Title? Zach Gowen taking on Gregory Iron was the next marquee match. Did they deliver in the ring or with their story? “The Megastar” Marion Fontaine finally got to finish his feud with Justin LaBar by beating Aaron Draven. Who was the “Ace In The Hole” that Aaron Maguire talked about? Dan & Kevin get around to talking about the match itself between Rhino and Jason Bane. Did it deliver? The barber delivered a hair cut to Bobby Shields in his Hair vs. Hair with Bobby Beverly. Did Nicki Valentino steal the match even though he was only guest referee? Matt Cross taking on Petey Williams was supposed to be the highlight of in ring action, so was it? The main event was Johnny Gargano challenging for the PRIME Wrestling Title against Jimmy Jacobs. Did it cap off a long event due to delays? Find out that and more when you click on the link below!

Stunt Granny Audio Show Wrestlelution 5 Review

@PRIMEWrestling – #Wrestlelution 5: An Enduring Spirit

The ring went boom in the Rhino vs Jason Bane match.

Wrestlelution 5: An Enduring Spirit was a fine event but getting back to my place at 10:30 PM made it a little hard to do a write up about it. There were two elements that led to a late arrival back in Columbus. The first part was that the event was supposed to start at 3:00 PM. Luckily for myself and my girl, since we showed up at 3:05,  they didn’t start the event until about 3:20. The second problem is pictured above. I’ll get to that when I talk about the match between Rhino and Jason Bane.

I’m hoping to post pictures from the event on Facebook later because the girl was taking pictures during the majority of the event until her camera died for the main event. Maybe I’ll even post Dan Kuester’s pictures from last year’s event. It didn’t dawn on me until we got there that this was her first live wrestling event. She’d never seen a wrestling crowd for real, so that was very entertaining. I had bought us tickets to the first two rows which ended up putting us in the view of the hard camera off to one corner of the ring. If you got the iPPV, as Dan did, or you catch some of the matches on SportsTime Ohio, look for the guy with the brownish Hawaiian shirt on.

Jason Gory took on Michael “The Bomber” Facade for the TV Title. I thought it was a good match to start with because it gave us some violence since it was a casket match. Facade is also pretty popular and signs posters with his spray paint so he gets the crowd involved. Gory was in a ridiculous Freddy Krueger outfit that even had striped pants just like Freddy’s sweater. They also billed Gory at 185. If he weighs that, my scale is lying to me because he isn’t the same weight as me. Facade is normally a very sloppy wrestler but he cut down on his mistakes and delivered a good match with Gory. Facade retained his title which is good since he’d been gunning for it for the past year and a half. No reason to yank the rug out from him like TNA would have done since he’d won the belt only a couple of months ago.

Louis Lyndon took on Benjamin Boone next. This match received very little build up so it was hard to get invested in it. They did fight against each other in tag teams last year so they had some back story. Lyndon surprised me because I don’t remember him being that tall. It continues to confuse me as to why Flip Kendrick got the deal with TNA and not him. Mattson did good crowd work during the match. It was a solid match that ended with a roll up by Lyndon for the three count. I feel bad for Boone who had worked himself into good shape then just keeps losing. I hope he gets a better direction next year especially since he’s one of the few big men in the league.

Kirst fought Matthew Justice. This match was another one with very little build up. It looked like Justice was going to join the Dead Wrestling Society the last time he was on TV but that was not the case. As a whole, Justice has not been on TV much since his return from WWE Developmental. The end of the match saw Kirst kick out of a Death Valley Driver then roll up Justice less than a minute later with a hand full of tights, which I couldn’t see. (I think the ref was in the way.)

Zach Gowen against Gregory Iron was up next in an inspirational story vs an inspirational story match. I thought this story had some flaws in it because Gowen came into the league to help Iron against the Dead Wrestling Society but ended up joining forces with the other heel faction in the Sons of Michigan. The idea that Iron “stole” Gowen’s thunder for an inspirational story doesn’t seem right either. I’m pretty sure you relinquish that when you admit to substance abuse problems that you just overcame. That aside, it still didn’t make much sense to turn on Iron this quickly. The match was good. The ending helped wrap up a story that made no sense. The referee was going to allow a blatant cane shot by Gowen, who passed up the opportunity. The hesitation allowed Iron to hit the Destabiler aka the Stunner for the win. N8 Mattson attacked Iron after the match and was going to let Gowen make up for his earlier mistake but he decided to attack Mattson and Benjamin Boone who was holding Iron back. A feel good hug came after wards but it was a confusing story arc.

Stunt Granny Interview Series: @FairToAar Aaron Maguire of @PRIMEWrestling

Aaron Maguire at Wrestlelution 4 as a guest time keeper.

Aaron Maguire is back again to promote Wrestlelution 5: An Enduring Spirit. Just like the Undertaker, he’s keeping his streak of appearances on this podcast alive. One streak he wants to break is his clients losing at Wrestlelution. Will his man “The Megastar” Marion Fontaine beat “Omega” Aaron Draven? Will Maguire get the chance to slap the goatee off of Justin LaBar? What trick does he have up his sleeve for this match? After previewing his own match, we move on to run down most of the card. Maguire answers whether Bobby Beverly or Bobby Shields will look better bald. Will Nicki Valentino call it down the middle as the special guest referee? Matt Cross takes on Petey Williams in their first ever singles match. Does Maguire think they’ll deliver in the ring?  Rhino has delivered in rings all over the world, but will be be able to deliver against Jason Bane who is 4-0 at Wrestlelution? Or is it 5-0? Last year, Bane delivered against Krimson. With Jayme Mason now in Krimson’s corner, will he be able to defeat Matt Mason? Krimson’s disciple Gory will take on Michael Facade in a casket match? Will this be the most brutal match Wrestlelution has ever seen? A heart breaking story already is Zach Gowen taking on Gregory Iron. Will the One Legged Wonder come out on top now that he’s aligned himself with N8 Mattson & The Sons of Michigan? Last but not least, Maguire talks about the main event match for the PRIME Wrestling Title between “The Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs and Johnny Gargano. Who will come out of Jacobs Pavilion with the title? Find out that and more when you click on the link below!

Stunt Granny Interview Series Aaron Maguire 2012

@PRIMEWrestling – Season 5 – Time To Catch Up Part II

I may have a panic attack trying to fit in my wrestling duties this week. I’ll be squeezing in an audio with the always entertaining Aaron Maguire tomorrow night. I’m hoping to get this past week’s show done tonight too. No more yapping, let’s start this party.

Aiden Veil starts the program off taking on Bobby Beverly. Veil is making his debut with a pair of drumsticks and he hailed from “The Stage”. I love these early gimmicks. Bobby Shields was on commentary with Joe Dombrowski. Beverly offers a hand but Veil slaps him. Beverly tossed him outside the ring and kicked him in the chest from the apron. Beverly chopped away before tossing him into the ring. Veil used his drum sticks to get an advantage. Ah, this past week’s episode was a review for Wrestlelution. I’ll get to catch up on what I missed, hopefully. Beverly nailed a fisher man’s suplex but only got a two count. Beverly followed it up with a super kick for the win. Bobby Shields charged the ring and a brawl ensued. Nicki Valentino tried to separate but needed help from the referees. Solid work from both guys in the ring. Shields could still use some work behind the head set.

Gregory Iron isn’t sure what to say about Zack Gowen. Iron can’t believe he’s buying into N8 Mattson’s BS. Iron is wondering why Gowen has given up on being a role model. Iron said he knows there would be no Gregory Iron without Gowen. (Someone needs to get him a book about the birds and the bees or he could just clarify that he means the wrestler.) Iron said that he’s going to have to fight him. Gowen appears above him. He talks about how he’s had to fight every day of his life. Gowen wished he could have called him a failure when he was a child. Iron is going to fight him because of the kids that look up to him. Gowen calls him pathetic. Iron leaves the area. Solid segment but Iron should really be more pissed at Gowen at this juncture. He should be ready to fight him willingly.

@PRIMEWrestling – Season 5 – Time To Catch Up Part I

A show favorite, Bobby Shields, pointed out to me on Thursday that I had a lot of reviewing to do before Wrestlelution 5. Yes I do and I don’t have all of the episodes on my DVR because I changed them out recently. I could watch them online but we’ll get to those if I can. I usually like to describe all of the action but that takes much longer than what I have time for right now. The show is on Sunday so it’s time to bang these out like a Monday Night Raw review. I’ll try to add some information about the matches but it won’t be in depth. I guess I should buy tickets for myself and my girl too. Oops. I’ll be there next Sunday.

Matt Mason is coming out of his car with a blonde. His wife must have been screwed with by Krimson. Wow, I missed some important stuff. I guess I’ll have to watch the replays on the shows. Krimson comes out to wrestle Louis Lynden. Louis capped the early offense with a running senton onto Krimson on the outside. He had good speed which helped make it more impressive. Lynden kicked him in the corner more. Krimson caught him charging in with a drop toe hold. Krimson has good “Big Man” offense in this league. Lynden was an idiot for holding himself up on the ropes when Krimson dropped a knee on him. A wheel kick gave Lynden a small spark. He got a two count on Krimson after a pump kick. Lynden got another two after a moonsault. Lynden kicked out after a clothes line to the back of the head. Matt Mason came out to attack Krimson but was held back. Lynden school boyed Krimson for the three count. Good work.

@PRIMEWrestling – Season 5 – Episode 19

Joe Dombrowski & Aaron Maguire introduce the show. Jimmy Jacobs will be defending the PRIME Wrestling Title against Louis Lynden. Mr. RBI is taking on Jason Bane. Sex Appeal, Bobby Beverly & Bobby Shields, are taking on Corey Winters & Ben Fruith to kick off the show. Corey Winters starts out against Bobby Shields. Sex Appeal took control early. Beverly was acting weird because he kept getting orders from Shields. Winters backed Beverly into his corner and tagged in Fruith. They double team Beverly with a flying knee. Sex Appeal took back over with Shields shouting more orders to Beverly. Fruith flipped out of a back suplex and tagged in Winters. Beverly was on the receiving end of a Cutter. Shields blind tagged in. Shields gave Fruith a Body Bomb for the victory. Shields ordered Beverly out of the ring to grab scissors. They cut off the bangs for Fruith. Winters chased them out of the ring with a chair.

Analysis: They told a solid story with Sex Appeal. Fruith looks like he’s put on a few pounds which isn’t a bad thing. The wrestling was fine but I always find it odd when tags are made as frequently as they were in this match. It doesn’t give anyone much rest time on the apron which is the purpose of tagging out. Score: +1.

They showed a replay of Michael “The Bomber” Facade winning the TV Title last week. He then gets a crack at the mic. Facade talks about taking a long time to accomplish his goals in PRIME Wrestling. He said he’ll be a people’s champion. Facade wants to stand up for everyone being bullied on the roster. Louis Lynden said that he’ll be entering his prime when he takes on Jimmy Jacobs. Analysis: Facade’s promo was average. Lynden was the main talker when Flip Kendrick was around. He seemed a little lost. Score: 0.

Bryan Castle introduces Dan Arkham, who is wearing a Batman shirt. Castle calls him “BatDan” and gives Arkham his lucky head band to make him more brave. Castle wants a ride in the Batmobile. Then asks to wear the utility belt. Brian Bender comes in and tells Castle to listen and Arkham to hold the mic between them. Bender is offended that Castle chose Arkham as a hero. Arkham looks sort of offended. Bender tells Castle he’s wasted his time because Castle sucks as a student. Bender ends by saying he may have to beat the lessons into him one day. Analysis: Castle was pretty funny. Arkham played his part well especially when acting offended. It was more of a look of “How could he say this to my face” than actual offense. Bender was awesome since his instructions have been ignored. Score: +1.

More PRIME Wrestling Defections To The WWE?

There are a number of noticeable indy wrestlers that have signed with the WWE, but I will leave those posts to someone else. According to Gerweck.net (we do source our info from other sites, sometimes) Johnny Gargano from Pro Wrestling Ohio/PRIME Wrestling  along with Dragon Gate USA & Evolve has signed with the WWE and will be heading to FCW in the near future. Good for him. Gargano was one of the better wrestlers when the promotion started about five years ago. He has worked hard on his promo to make them go from childish to a man cutting a promo which has been his biggest development.

If you read the link, there’s some other news that pertains just to PRIME Wrestling, while I knew some of the information because of my sources inside of the organization, some of the information was never passed along. It is a bit shocking to find out the owner of the company, Walt Klasinski, got convicted of sexual assault related charges. The legal trouble led to Joe Dombrowski purchasing the company and re-branding it. Klasinski’s actions don’t change my thoughts on the promotion because he was never booking for it to my knowledge and none of the wrestlers were convicted either. I think it’s a fine, paint by the numbers booking style that helps get the wrestlers over.

To get back to Gargano, one of the better parts of the transition from Pro Wrestling Ohio to PRIME Wrestling was the carry over of the story lines. Gargano came back on an episode I haven’t watched yet but he is set to take on Jimmy Jacobs for the PRIME Wrestling Title at Wrestlelution 5. His possible move to the WWE would put a giant crimp in their big event.

Like any good indy promotion, PWO/PRIME talent has been ransacked just as they start to move to the next level. Zema Ion (Shiima Xion) is now the X Division Champion in TNA. He was recently joined by Flip Cassanova (aka Flip Kendrick) in the X Division Title hunt taking each other on at Destination X this past Sunday. The WWE signed “Big Rig” Brodie Lee in March not long after he worked with Kevin Nash at Wrestlelution 4. The WWE also signed Derek Bateman in PWO’s infancy when he went by the name Michael Hutter. Gargano will have some familar faces around him, but only time will tell if he can become the Whole She Bang and the Cat’s Meow in the WWE. -Kevin

@PRIMEWrestling Podcast 2

Dan & Kevin are back again talking about the debut of Matt Mason against a returning Brian Bender. Since Kevin already has his opinion in his review, he asks Dan about his perspective on the match. They move on to talking about Matt Cross but has Cross moved on? Jimmy Jacobs has moved in to PRIME Wrestling, but is he a big enough name to center the promotion around? Will a returning Johnny Gargano help the story line out? Jacobs is also involved with the perceived splitting of Sex Appeal. Is Nicki Valentino getting kicked to the curb because of a returning Bobby Shields? Who do the guys thinks matches up better about an on the outs Bobby Beverly? Jason Bane laid out an ultimatum and go an answer from the Man Beast. Will Rhino draw as much as previous attractions to Wrestlelution? Krimson, Bane’s opponent last year, cuts another promo. Is it up to his usual lofty standards? Michael Facade completed a journey for the TV Title, but what was the hitch that Ken & Dan found in this development? Have your own journey in your ear holes by clicking the link below!
