According to a story on WWE.com and an alert that I swiped away without looking at it

It’s not official yet, but it is expected that “Macho Man” Randy Savage will be announced tonight on Raw as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2015, WWE.com has learned.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time we’ve made fun of a statement like this and it’s not going to be the last. The WWE wants us to believe that they can’t confirm their own news. I subscribe to MLB Rumors, but the rumors don’t actually come from Major League Baseball. They come from various sources around the country reporting rumors. Now if the WWE were smart, they’d leak news to say us or various other “Dirt Sheets” so that we could have rumors swirling out there to create some buzz without essentially confirming the report by creating the above post on their own site. Let people tune in to find out if it’s true. Now I and anyone that gets the alert knows that Randy Savage is going into the Hall of Fame. Why do I need to tune into Raw now?
