Waldspirale by Friedensreich Hundertwasser in Darmstadt, Germany

Ken & Kevin are finally back after a few weeks off observing Bill Simmons suspension from ESPN. Not really but we’ll let them go with it. They do start with a topic near to Kevin’s heart, architecture. In particular they talk about Freidensreich Hundertwasser who once call a straight line a Godless line. Why did he have this theory? Was this guy against straight lines so much that even floors were uneven? Have other architects made funky floors? Did Hundertwasser’s hate of straight lines come from his up bringing in East Germany? Was this gentleman familiar with the architecture of Antoni Gaudi? What do they have in common? Would you want the apartment with a tree growing out of it? How do you set rent prices in a place like that? David Lynch rented space in Ken & Kevin’s head when he came out with Twin Peaks. How did they end up watching it? What munchie did they take from the show? Twin Peaks is being claimed as a forerunner of shows like Fargo and True Detective but what sets the shows apart? Do shows benefit from having a short run? There have been a few shows set in a casino which is where Ken & Kevin’s last topic comes in to play. Do you like video poker? Could you become addicted to it? Could you find a tiny glitch that would land you in jail? Two gentlemen did find such a glitch. How are they connected to OHPA? How do they find the glitch? How did it work? How many machines did it work on? How could these guys afford to gamble this often? Fortunately, the listeners hit the jack pot on this show so click on the link below!
