The Art of Wrestling – Fear The Reaper
Jeff Hardy has a new shirt that I referenced in this article and I’ll get into a little more detail aside from bemoaning the fact that the WWE should have made this shirt glow in the dark (or at least glow under a black light) like TNA’s Suicide shirt.
On the front of the shirt, one can’t miss the giant visage of Jeff Hardy with one of his patented face paint jobs. I couldn’t find a picture of it on WWE.com though even if I do seem to remember him trotting out this version of the make up. The WWE decided to stick with the Joker’s colors of purple, white and green which was a good plan. They made them light enough that they show up well on a black background. There are ghost images above and below Jeff’s face which is a nice touch and makes it look more like his entrance.
I’m left wondering whether the writing on the white portion of his face is his own. I think it would be a nice touch if it was. I do think that on phrase is out of place though, Whisper in the Wind. The remaining words are descriptive of Jeff’s abilities, habits or attitude like daredevil, enigma and defy.
On the back, the WWE went with minimal thought and OK execution by putting “Immune To Fear” in giant white block lettering. It would have been better if they had used the same print as the front print. The ghost images make a nice, Aurora Borealis like look behind the lettering.
This shirt is already number three on WWEshop.com even though it’s not available until the 13th of March. Fans obviously have no fear plunking down the money for the newest WWE cash cow, Jeff Hardy. – Kevin
So did Jeff designed the shirt while sober and did he had some “inspirations”?
