RIP Skip Sheffield’s Ankle
Quote the Meltzer:
The word from the Raw crew is that Skip Sheffield suffered a broken left ankle last night in a tag team match in Honolulu and will be out of action for some time. The timing for his career almost couldn’t possibly be worse.
Now, I was just started getting into Sheffield’s act, so this is a bit of Depression City for me here. However, it does help with the cause of thinning the Nexus herd a bit, since I imagine if they’re not able to use him, they’ll probably write him out of that storyline. My idea I just came up with just now is to get The Miz and Alex Riley into Nexus somehow and make Michael Cole the mouthpiece of the group. In order to do that, you need to get rid of a few of the existing guys. Ergo, goodbye Skip Sheffield. Now if we can do something about David Otunga… – Dusty
Something tells me this is a silent wellness violation a la Batista’s “triceps” injury a while back.
Quite frankly, that’s what I thought about John Cena’s “neck” surgery in 2008 that kept him out of action for 12… excuse me, less than five months. -E
(You know, people overuse the word “frankly;” I just realized I wasn’t being very frank there. In fact, quite the opposite; I really pussyfooted around the issue. I think Cena’s “surgery” was horseshit. “Well, how do you explain the scar on his neck?” Um, he’s a very rich man who will do anything for this business?)
Yeah, I bet he got that scar tattooed on his neck.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, guys. He’ll be dead in five years, for sure.
“Snap, snap. What it do!”
