The WWE still had a show despite a blizzard that closed the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut where Raw was supposed to be held. The WWE decided to show the WWE Title match and the Royal Rumble match during the bulk of this time frame.

As noted in my previous post, I didn’t see the WWE Title match. So I’m not going to write about how I’m angry that the WWE aired my $9.99 show on free TV. The WWE has given away two or three free months already, what’s parts of another show? They still cut out commercial break parts from what I could tell so if you really wanted to see the match in it’s true entirety, go to the Network. I will because the WWE Title match was awesome. Which I enjoyed more by watching it on my large TV screen instead of my small monitor.

If you’re pissed about Roman Reigns winning the Rumble (more on that in a moment), how can you not be super geeked about what Seth Rollins did in the match previous? Rollins delivered big time with two of the biggest names in WWE history. Rollins may have taken the pin fall, but he came out of that smelling like roses. The WWE carved out time for him to have an interview on Raw. One of five promos on the show which means he’s important to them. I loved his interview and childish defiance of tossing Brock Lesnar’s chair down before his interview. Rollins may not be in the main event of Wrestlemania this year, but I can see him being there in the future.

To be clear about my stance on Roman Reigns, I’m a fan of his. I have poked some jabs at his mic skills but have enjoyed his in ring work immensely. I would not have crapped on his win like most of the crowd did last night. I’ve got to admit, not only is my TV better to watch with my eyes, it also has better speakers than my lap top. The crowd was much clearer tonight. I still don’t like the way he eliminated Big Show & Kane or Rusev. I know the later has to take on John Cena so he can’t lose any credibility. Rusev can easily point out that he got into the Rumble earlier than Reigns because of a rigged American tumbler and this is why Reigns was able to toss him.

I did say that one of the WWE’s options was to make Roman Reigns the next John Cena. Reigns promos mirrored Cena’s on the blizzard edition of Raw. He shrugged off the booing fans as some will like you, some won’t. When Reigns had his face to face with Brock Lesnar, Reigns got serious and told Lesnar, he’d beat him at Wrestlemania. One set of emergency promos doesn’t say it’s definitely happening, but it doesn’t help anyone who is thinking of that option. There’s nothing wrong with Reigns being the next Cena either. Cena has had a hell of a career. – Kevin
