There has been nothing to see for wrestling news this weekend so you’re stuck with an extremely late Smackdown review.

Dean Ambrose & John Cena bickering works well. I’ve got an odd feeling that the cohesion between the Authority trio of Kane, Randy Orton & Seth Rollins isn’t going to last long enough to defeat the baby faces. I wish it would though. Orton still has some tread of the tires and he’s been an ass recently. Being an ass on TV is a good thing.

The Miz & Damien Mizdow crack me up but the WWE are certainly positioning Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler for much better things than a comedy act so Sheamus & Ziggler won the tag team match amongst the foursome.

Paige with Alicia Fox took on Naomi. Fox provided a distraction that aided Paige’s win but didn’t directly help her. Fox took a rough looking bump when she got tossed out of the ring by AJ Lee. The announcers made mention of Total Divas quite a bit. I’m three episodes behind as of the one recording as I type this Sunday night. I don’t have the will power to watch it in my free time. The Strain, Hawaii Five-O, Wilfred, American Ninja Warrior and anything else on my DVR ranks above Total Divas in watch order.

– Did Big Show pull down the flag just so we could have this segment on Smackdown? An apology segment is a perfect time waster. Rusev & Lana get to reject the apology but Big Show never meant to apologize to them. Rusev went with a cheap flag shot to further the anger. The WWE is building this feud well.

The Usos got the win over Slater & Gator while the Bunny took out the mini-Gator aka Hornswoggle. Yep. I’ve got no idea why the ratings are low.

R Truth got to job to Cesaro. When does Cesaro’s push go away this time?

Dean Ambrose got to sell for most of the main event when he was teaming with John Cena. He got to sell more because Cena left to attack Seth Rollins. Orton & Kane attacked Ambrose for the DQ. Cena came back for the save but looked disappointed in himself. As he should. Always nice for the heels to get over. Building up the heel. Good plan. They don’t have a lot of those these days. – Kevin
