This week Kevin and Dusty are at the helm of Stunt Granny Audio, and you are in good hands for sure, as they navigate you around the biggest stories in the week of professional wrestling. Those stories include the latest in the NHL playoffs and Josh Hamilton’s ownage of the Baltimore Orioles. They also find time to talk about some actual wrestling, including what they deemed worthy of discussion on Monday Night Raw. Just how earth shattering was the return of Paul Heyman? Just how vital to the entire show *was* that women’s tag team match? Why does Dusty hate the overrun so much? They then turn their attention to ROH. Dusty blows Kevin’s mind by revealing RD Evans’ secret identity. The duo sound impressed with Mike Bennett, and less so with Prince Nana. And then focus shifts to TNA. Or is it Impact Wrestling? Whatever it’s called, they seem to have a Master’s Degree in Giving People Stuff They No Longer Want To See. Do they find anything positive about the company to talk about? You’ll have to tune in to find out, and it’s not even going to take an hour off your life, so have a heart, people!

Kevin’s Blog: Definitely Live & Half Assed Review of @WWE #Raw

I hope the good citizen’s that come to the site enjoyed the alternative posts with the Mick Foley comedy show and Colin Delaney interview. We can only hope that the later of the two leads to better interviews in the future. I’m also wrapping up ROH from two weeks ago before I start this review. Like a dope, I reviewed the more recent material. It was probably for the best since it was more hacked up matches from Showdown In The Sun. The Briscoes vs the World’s Greatest Tag Team wasn’t very good. ROH has fans and Charlie Haas flipping people off so often that I felt like half of the match was blurred over. Jay Lethal vs Roderick Strong was a good match but I don’t understand Tomasso Ciampa costing Jay Lethal the TV Title since they’re feuding. He screwed himself. No surprise that ROH is doing something dumb again. I’m sure the WWE will do something dumb tonight too. Let’s roll.

The WWE highlights their failures right off the bat. Johnny Wooden GM attacking John Cena because, you know, HHH got booted from the job for losing control. He’s a good character but the WWE’s logic is so fucked. Johnny comes out to no reaction what so ever. Johnny is playing straight up heel.  The crowd finally gets enough energy to boo. At least they cover their ass and say the Board of Director’s gave him a pass. I wish Roger Goodell had attacked one of the draftees. I’m sure he’d still be in his job. Johnny going all in on the heel aspect makes him a worse character. I’m bored. Why did I compliment him at the start? CM Punk comes out to, oh no, the crowd sucks. They barely react to him. It’s going to be a long night. I was going to say come out to wake everyone up. Greensboro blows. Punk tap dances around upsetting Johnny with good verbiage. Punk does get the crowd to react. Lord Tensai is Punk’s opponent tonight. I can’t wait for Punk to finally get a good match out of the big lug.

Johnny bumps into the Big Show back stage and yells at him. Eve Torres shows up like “Vampire” Hortatio Caine. Cody Rhodes comes out first. Mitchell Cool tries to defend Rhodes tables match win as legitimate. I wish Jerry Lawler wouldn’t argue like a 6th grader. Rhodes gets counted out. Eve comes out and orders the Big Show to apologize. Her ass is fantastic. Mitchell Cool, not joking, claims that having to apologize for making fun of Johnny’s voice is a severe consequence. Shot me. The WWE may have topped ROH for stupidity already.

They show replay of R Truth & Kofi Kingston winning because they have lots in common. Aside from their skin color, of course. Vickie Guerrero introduces the free falling Dolph Ziggler. I’m not even sure I want to admit he’s my boy he’s dropping so fast. It’s just Kofi vs Dolph. AW got Rosa, Epico & Primo to dress up. Mason Ryan shows up backstage because matches don’t matter. Ziggler gets the win with some help from Jack Swagger.

Oh my god, it’s time for another audio! This time it’s a very very special edition of Stunt Granny Audio as Eric, Kevin and Dusty all join forces to navigate through an eventful weekend of wrestling festivities. The trio sets their sights on the Extreme Reunion show and just how sad it was and what an absolute clusterfuck it was. Is Sabu going to die? Is Axl Rotten going to beat him to the punch? Was anybody on the card in actual wrestling shape? Then our heroes turn their attention to WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV. Did the internet spontaneously combust after teh finish to the main event? What in the halibar hell was Ryback doing on that show? Was the show really called Extreme Rules or Over The Legal Blood Alcohol Limit or something else entirely? Then they talk about Raw, which mostly consists of them stalling while Kevin scrolls down the show review in desperate attempt to find something to talk about. Did he find something? You’ll need to listen to find out!

They go on to talk about long term planning that springs from the simple question of why the only characters being push on WWE television after the draft. What ways could the WWE even things out? The guys also talk about brand pride and how it could work it’s way into the lazy writing the WWE annually trots out after Wrestlemania. Kevin: Just getting around to Extreme Rules results

Jeremy: Underwhelming; Glad I didn’t order

Kevin: I was just going to look at results when the Bin Laden news hit. It does seem underwhelming. I’m happy for Christian. How glad is he that he left TNA?

Jeremy: Maybe should save this but it would have been better without Edge

Kevin: They’ve been so intertwined, it’s hard to argue with the choice  and Christian was being attacked 3 on 1. He needed some help.

Jeremy: See it appears like a default instead of earning it. He only got it because of Edge retiring. He only won because edge interfered. There was also the inevitability of him winning due to the draft.

Kevin: Yeah, there was no doubt in my mind with Del Rio headed to Raw.And yeah, Edge would have kept the title if he wasn’t forced to retire. Impossible to get around that Del Rio to Raw was probably in the books to happen so they needed a baby face champ and Christian was the only one on SD that fit that description.

Jeremy: Yup, hence have the draft tonight dummies.

Kevin: Definitely. Haven’t they done that for a couple of years now? You’d think they’d learn their lesson; boring PPV because they’re all predictable outcomes. All baby face victories except Layla.

Jeremy: Yeah cause Layla wasn’t a face or heel. If McCool is leaving then I guess Layla is the face? I am confused. Then Kharma comes out and destroys Michelle who is the heel so is Kharma a face?

Kevin: That was a bigger train wreck than normal in the women’s division. No one felt sympathetic for anyone even though Layla was trying to “do the right things” like therapy and giving a shit.

Jeremy: Heels doing therapy to me just screamed hate. I guess since it was two women or some comedy tag team, Headcheese comes to mind, that they considered it to be good on Layla’s behalf.

Kevin: They kind of half assed the blame game. Layla didn’t really cost them much and neither did Michelle. Normally, someone pulls the wrong leg, hits their friend with a chair, etc. It was all incidental contact that kept costing Layla matches.

Jeremy: But in WWE no one owns a DVR or, um what are those other antiquated recording devices that even the homelsss consider toilets? VCR’s?

Kevin: One would think since all the leagues pimp Twitter, that they’d acknowledge the existence of technology. People stop being friends for a lot of reasons. Come up with a different one

Jeremy: Jealousy is always the easiest or resentment but there was nothing there.

Kevin:  Which is the other point, if you’re going to keep going back to the same well, at least have something there

WrestleMania 27 Preview #4- The Two Matches To Get People Bonus Money

Jeremy and Kevin get to review John Morrison, Trish Stratus & Snooki against Dolph Ziggler, Michelle McCool & Layla along with The Corre against The Big Show, Kane, Vladimir Kozlov & Santino Marella. The WWE tried to build up one of these matches and not the the later so the guys lumped them together. Find out which one of the guys has slept with someone bigger than Snooki. That’s the best part of the show, may as well highlight it.

Kevin’s Blog: Almost Live, Definitely Half Assed Review of Raw

It's been a parade of men in trunks as the WWE shows off it's roster for the 40 man Royal Rumble.

Jeremy IMed me last week and said that he was getting the Royal Rumble. For some reason, it hadn’t dawned on me that I could actually buy a pay per view instead of watching it at Dusty’s neighbor. I have decided to join him in purchasing the pay per view so I’m going to type and talk my mind this week. That means I get the week started with a blog and a Leinenkugel Creamy Dark.

The GM screws Edge one last time. At least they’re keeping an ongoing storyline for a change. Someone has a shot at #40. Tyson Kidd is dispatched first. Wow, has Jack Swagger fallen and not just for this challenge. McIntyre is another guy in a downward spiral. “Who wants to see a smashed lap top computer?” Can’t say I ever imagined those words would be uttered on Raw. Even worse that the crowd popped for it. CM Punk and crew come out. Are they trying to show off all 40 competitors tonight? Mason Ryan officially gets a name. CM Punk cuts an OK promo. Barrett gets a crack on the mic. Edge is such a pussy for leaving when Nexus showed up. Nice big man show down. Mystery GM chimes in to make a Barrett vs. Punk match. The loser has their crew yanked from the Rumble. I’m going to have to count the roster size. They are going to exclude some good wrestlers and add jobbers which is royally dumb.

Morrison & Henry take on Sheamus (another guy who’s been in a funk for longer than I expected) & Del Rio. I smell Henry taking a pin. They take a match break at a predictable time.

Mark Henry takes on Sheamus, who looks like a pansy until the Rogue Kick. Del Rio gets the arm bar on Henry. Looks like I was a little off since Henry tapped out. Two heels should not be celebrating and smiling at each other. On should have turned on the other and tossed him out of the ring to prove they’d win on Sunday. Faces played patty cake like that.

Stunt Granny Audio- WWE TLC 2010 Preview

Pretty straight forward huh? Yup, it is the return of the audio PPV preview shows. Kevin and Jeremy come at ya to discuss WWE’s TLC PPV.  They cover every match in great detail save for one. Oh and it isn’t the one you think it is. They discuss the difference between WWE Divas and TNA’s Knockouts in the context of actually mattering. They also run down the problems with how the Smackdown main event changed. Was it necessary or was it a stroke of genius on their part? They then break in to song and relive past WWE TLC match glories, well, not really but we need to fill space here to make you listen. I mean how do you fill space on a preview show without giving everything away? If I was a better writer maybe I could come up with something but I’m not so I didn’t. So now you gave to listen.

Yup, it’s the second live Stunt Granny Audio but the first for the masses. Yep, this one went off without a problem so Jeremy and Kevin decoded to talk about WWE Raw. They go over the entire show and do the typical likes and dislikes but they are actually interesting. Yes this is a hell of a a write up for the show but whatever.
